Stretch
Vegas will probably be O/U 8.5 wins. I'll confirm once they come out.Face it, we have some VERY difficult games this season, and it's not going to be an easy road to the playoffs. Ulysses
I see 8-0 at home this year. All winnable games for us.I think the chances of that are much better than going 8-0 on the road, but NO and Phi worry me.

Duff_Man
I think the chances of that are much better than going 8-0 on the road, but NO and Phi worry me.After the way we man-handled NO at home last year (take away the last second hail mary garbage from the final score), I am not worried about the Saints. L.T.
It's NEVER too late for predictions!!Here are my predictions:WIN 1 Sun, Sept. 13 vs. Miami Dolphins CBS 1 p.m.WIN 2 Sun, Sept. 20 vs. Carolina Panthers FOX 1 p.m.LOSS 3 Sun, Sept. 27 at New England Patriots FOX 1 p.m.4 ByeWIN 5 Sun, Oct. 11 at San Francisco 49ers FOX 4:05 p.m.WIN 6 Sun, Oct. 18 vs. Chicago Bears NBC 8:20 p.m.WIN 7 Sun, Oct. 25 at Dallas Cowboys FOX 4:15 p.m.WIN 8 Mon, Nov. 2 at New Orleans Saints ESPN 8:30 p.m.LOSS 9 Sun, Nov. 8 vs. Washington Redskins FOX 1 p.m.LOSS 10 Sun, Nov. 15 at Carolina Panthers FOX 1 p.m.WIN 11 Sun, Nov. 22 at New York Giants FOX 1 p.m.WIN 12 Sun, Nov. 29 vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers FOX 1 p.m.WIN 13 Sun, Dec. 6 vs. Philadelphia Eagles FOX 1 p.m.WIN 14 Sun, Dec. 13 vs. New Orleans Saints FOX 1 p.m.WIN 15 Sun, Dec. 20 at New York Jets FOX 1 p.m.LOSS 16 Sun, Dec. 27 vs. Buffalo Bills CBS 1 p.m.WIN 17 Sun, Jan. 3 at Tampa Bay Buccaneers FOX 1 p.m.I have the Falcons finishing 12-4, or possibly 13-3 or 11-5. That week 2 game against Carolina scares me. It will be a defining game for sure! I think ATL will lose to New England. Then they'll win their next 4 games to move their record to 6-1. They'll beat the Bears 31-28 on a last minute Ryan-lead TD drive. They'll beat a disappointing Dallas team in Week 7. They MIGHT lose to the Saints in Week 8, but I hope not! I think they'll lose to a vastly improved Washington team, then lose again the following week to Carolina. I think they'll then go on a 5 game winning streak--beating an injury depleted Giants team in Wk 11. I think they'll sweep Tampa Bay and beat the Jets handily, bcuz those teams are expected to have down years. I think the Falcons will lose to a Buffalo team striving to make the playoffs and a hot T.O. in week 16.Will they win the division? I don't know...I have Carolina finishing 12-4 and New Orleans 11-5--unless NO beats Car in the last week, then their records will be reversed. Any thought or opinions?? crankdatfalcon
I think I would like to know who we have on our team before making foolish speculations. YOU CAN SAY THAT AGAIN!!!!i hate when people make threads like this only after the schedule has come out. No one knows how any team in the NFL is going to pan out this up coming season. BirdzEyeView
I predict 9-7. I am hoping we stay healthy for the majority of the season. We need another RBRemaining "healthy", particularly at the skill positions, is BY FAR one of the most important elements for a successful season in 2009! I also agree with your assessment regarding needed depth / action at RB. I think Snelling is a beast of runner and should see the ball at least 8 times per game . This will also help Turner and Norwood throughout the season, especially with the early bye week (we got stiffed on this one). I love Norwood's change of pace, but I still question his durability for an entire, ESPECIALLY with the bruising defenses we are going to face this year outside our division. A 3 RB system CAN work and prove to be productive...Check the Giants RB trio from last year for the "blueprint". I'm a believer in Ryan's ability to pick apart opposing defenses with his arm, but I would LOVE to run the ball down every defense's throat we face and EAT UP CLOCK! This equates to shorter games, a fresher defense when needed, and "the ticking time bomb" of Matty's arm (ask da Bears about last year ) when defenses decide to load the box in an attempt to stop our running game! Talk about "picking your poison" Having said all that, I predict 11 - 5 (same as last year's record).

FalconFanSince1970
I think I would like to know who we have on our team before making foolish speculations. Seriously. If McClure leaves we will have lost seven starters and so far seem to be planning on replacing them with either rooks or second year rooks. Add the schedule in and it it's kinda comical.I love the way you guys are pencilling in these NFC South wins. This guy has us going 5-1 which we've never done and if I'm not mistaken only CAR did it in 03. Only because Doug Johnson was our QB. Laughable.
