Clemson Wideout On Team’s Radar

Posted by Aaron Wilson on April 12, 2009, 7:08 p.m. EDT

Clemson wide receiver Aaron Kelly has conducted a private workout with the Atlanta Falcons, according to Scout.com.

Kelly also is scheduled to attend the Falcons’ local prospect day.

Kelly caught 232 career passes for 2,733 yards and 20 touchdowns.

He’s the Atlantic Coast Conference’s all-time career receptions leader and holds Clemson’s school records for receiving yardage and touchdown catches.

At the NFL Scouting Combine, Kelly ran the 40-yard dash in 4.49 seconds.

The 6′5,” 204-pound wideout also registered a 38-inch vertical leap and a 9-11 broad jump.

Last season, Kelly caught 67 passes for 722 yards and four touchdowns.

As a junior, Kelly set the Tigers’ single-season record for catches with 88 receptions to generate a career-high 1,081 yards and 11 touchdowns.

Kelly is regarded as a possession receiver and red-zone threat, and is projected to be drafted in the middle rounds.
