The League just announced some games for the 2009 preseason and the Falcons have one prime time game -- a home tilt against the Chargers on Aug. 29 at 8 p.m. (CBS). The entire preseason schedule is below but there are some times TBD.

at Detroit WXIA (NBC)

at St. Louis WXIA (NBC)

Saturday, August 29, 2009 vs. San Diego 8 p.m. WGCL (CBS)

vs. Baltimore WXIA (NBC)

The first preseason week is Aug. 13-17.

The full, regular-season schedule should be announced in mid-April.

How is it that the Ravens continue to show up on the pre-season schedule?

Teams are allowed some control over the preseason schedule, particularly the last game. There's a long-standing, home-and-home relationship between the Falcons and Ravens that continues. Other teams do the same thing (Denver and Arizona for instance).

We use to do it, kinda-sorta, with Tennessee....but it was the scrimmage game....- ;)

Seems to me that I've viewed a "super" hard schedule for the upcoming Falcons season about a month ago on our sight...Is that now the schedule that's soon to be released?

Do we put in Ryan to get him warmed up? Or do we play Shockley and Redman so they remember what throwing a football feels like?

Or maybe we split it.

Ryan is THE STARTER. He will be treated like the starting QB is in every preseason. he will probably get most if not all his playing time in the Ravens game. the ravens will probably be starting their whole 1st string for at least a quarter(matt will probably play the whole first half of that game to get his legs and arms ready.
