falconjuicer
I was wondering what we would do if Laurent is healthy. Will he become the WR2 and put Jenkins in the slot? Then what will we do with Harry Douglas, he has way too much potential to be the fourth reciever.
falconsfan8412502
i think jenkins stays as wr2 just because he blocks so well and we are so run heavy...i see us using lots of 4 wide sets
The Don™
Yes, Laurent COULD, but in our run-heavy offense, Jenkins is the favorite(plus, Jenks got the extension)....I see Laurent causing severe mismatches with nickle and dime CB on the inside...Laurent has it all(best hands on the team, elite speed, and freakish athletic ability), but he just needs to stay healthy and improve his work ethic.... hakim24
I think He will be. I truly believe that he has the MOST potential out of ALL our WRs. More than Roddy, Jenkins, & Harry. If he can get back healthy, I believe he will develop into a poor man's Larry Fitzgerald. He is a MUCH better receiving threat than Jenkins and He will be able to help stretch the field more. There is bound to be a mismatch somewhere.

MattM12
our WR corps is massive, i really hope that they all stay healthy, i cannot think of a better group in the league, when Matty gets more time in the NFL, plaing shotgun in 4 receiver sets with Jerious in the Backfield makes for a scary attack...! gritzblitz
I say Jenks is starting WR2.

.leon
I like Robinson but I don't see him progressing into a full time starter. He has the tools, but he also just has the feel of one of those players who will never live up to expectations or fulfill his potential. He will still be a great 4th WR next year though. Of course I would be ecstatic to be proved wrong.
Zanka
We have a real great receiver corps. All we need is just a real great TE. Brandon Pettigrew
millenium falcon
roddy white is in a contract year and if laraunt is able to reach his potential, i think he can take roddy's place after he signs elsewhere next year. i do not want to give big money to the inconsistant immature roddy white. Jaymadd
I dont think he will unseat Micheal Jenkins as a #2, but it might be a battle in the slot with Douglas if Robinson can stay healthly.
cnasty
IF we actually had Robinson come in at 100%, we would end up looking like the Bengals of a few years ago. Except instead of 3 good receivers we would have 4 with a young and hungry QB, young defense, and second year head coach. If anyone recalls, they had a great season and looked to handle the steelers in the playoffs til the Keith von Oelhoffen dirty hit that took out Palmer.... Either way it would look good for us. Dr. Zanzibar
Lets bring the spread offense to the NFL!Lol Patriots.Anyways, Norwood is such a good receiving RB, he should be getting looks if we are doing plays based on that.
hakim24
Laurent is our most talented WR. Think about this:Roddy and Laurent were GREAT in 2007...... with crappy QB's. Think about having them both on the field with Matt Ryan throwing to them. Our receiving corps was strong this year, but I still think we were even better in 2007 considering the circumstances. Roddy REALLY benefited from having a guy opposite him who could stretch the field and allow him more room to work. Jenkins is one of those solid, reliable players that TD wanted to keep on the team. If Laurent is healthy, he will take over that #2 spot. I see us running a bunch of 4 WR sets while we slowly work Finneran out of the mix and use Jenkins more in his role. It might not seem like much, but Jenkins has become a TERRIFIC possession receiver who seems to be the most reliable target on the team. We would be able to use him in a bunch of different ways, but with the return of Laurent, his role will be doing what he does best, which is being an above-average possession receiver who can be a killer on 3rd down. 804_Falconfan
I don't know if Robinson will be the #2 guy next year but if we lives up to the potential he has shown then I think in the coming years he will beat out Jenkins for the job. The bad thing about having so many good receivers is deciding who will have to take a back seat as younger players improve. I think Roddy will get a new contract since it seems he and Matt are forming a connection. I think who ever has the best performance next year will be the top candidate for the #2 guy in the coming future. I still want us to somehow keep Finneran though
cdogtano
The problem of course is saying IF Robinson is healthy is a very big if...I think he is the fourth guy and if he earns his way up so be it..but as of now I see him being number 4 at best..I don't trust him to stay healthy though
MattM12
Is it me, with finn added into that mix, with possibly a pettigrew or ingram added, are we in the top 3 in the league for Receiving corps...think about it, i cant think of anyone with that much depth. Tony Graziani
This is how I think it will go:Roddy- Hands-down #1Jenks- 3rd down, intermidiate specialistHD- Our Wes Welker, catchin screens and whatnot all over the placeL-Rob- Deep threat, his ypr being 17-20 yards.
