Wednesday, March 25 Braves at the plate: Chipper Jones gave the Braves the lead in the fourth inning with a two-run homer. Jeff Francoeur had two hits and an RBI. Nationals at the plate: In the bottom of sixth inning, the Nationals scored three runs to take a 4-3 lead. Elijah Dukes had a two-run double, while Nick Johnson had an RBI single. Braves on the mound: Right-hander Kenshin Kawakami pitched five innings without allowing an earned run. Left-hander Mike Gonzalez gave up three runs in one inning. Nationals on the mound: Right-hander Collin Balester had his best outing of spring, going five innings and giving up two runs. Kip Wells made his Nationals debut and allowed one run in two innings. Grapefruit League records: Nationals 11-12-2; Braves 16-7. Up next: The Braves go back to Lake Buena Vista, Fla., to face the Blue Jays at Champion Stadium on Thursday at 1:05 p.m. ET.
