First on wtkr.com: Michael Vick 'In Transit'

Blaine Stewart, NewsChannel 3 WTKR-TV3

Former Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick is no longer being housed in a federal prison in Leavenworth, Kansas. According to the Federal Bureau of Prisons, Vick, who pled guilty to charges involving dogfighting in Surry County in 2007, is now listed as "in transit." As of this morning, federal officials would not confirm to NewsChannel 3 where Vick is headed.

As part of an early release agreement, Vick will serve the remainder of his prison term under house arrest at a home in Hampton. During that time, Vick will help build houses for the charity, Habitat for Humanity.

Last month, a federal bankruptcy judge in Norfolk ordered Vick to appear in person on April 2, as part of his bankruptcy filings. Early calls to attorneys for Michael Vick were not returned.
