Every Cleveland Browns player available for trade

Sources tell the Cleveland Plain Dealer that the Browns are willing to trade any player on their roster aside from Joe Thomas and D'Qwell Jackson.

That means Brady Quinn, Derek Anderson, and most notably Shaun Rogers and Braylon Edwards are available. Thomas' play fell off a bit in 2008 like most of the Browns, but he's still a rare talent at the left tackle position.

NFL meetings offer Cleveland Browns' new regime another chance to ponder roster changes

Chuck Crow/The Plain DealerTrade rumors continue to swirl around the Browns' new management team. Will QB Brady Quinn be caught up in the winds as the NFL owners' meetings begin this week?

DANA POINT, Calif. -- If the Browns intend to pursue further roster upheaval, then seeds of potential trades will be planted here this week at the annual NFL owners meetings.

Because of a confluence of a couple situations, seldom in recent memory has the NFL landscape been so rife with trade conversation and rumor.

One factor is the uncertainty of the current league labor agreement. With one year remaining before the league system changes drastically, teams are more apt to move players and contracts they ordinarily wouldn't consider.

Another factor is the shakeup in coaches and front offices. More than 33 percent of the NFL teams -- 11 of 32 -- have new coaches or general managers in place since this time a year ago.

New men in charge always result in a higher than normal rate of player movement. That's been the case already in Cleveland, Detroit, Kansas City, Denver, and elsewhere.

The Browns have been the subject of several publicized trade rumors. Some may be sloughed off as Internet chatter. But there is a prevalent perception within the league that the Browns' management team of coach Eric Mangini and General Manager George Kokinis is intent on making more moves beyond the trade of Kellen Winslow to Tampa Bay.

Sources have said the Browns are willing to part with any player except left tackle Joe Thomas and linebacker D'Qwell Jackson. They also would like to move down from the No. 5 spot in the draft.

The names of Brady Quinn, Derek Anderson, Braylon Edwards and Shaun Rogers have surfaced in trade rumors. The Browns haven't addressed the rumors -- they won't even confirm visits from free agents -- but Mangini and Kokinis consistently have said they would consider anything to improve the team.

Where there's smoke, there's fire.

Eric Wright? Braylon Edwards?

Yeah, lets see if we can trade them the #24 pick and Jamaal Anderson for Shaun Rogers and the #5 pick. Seems like they aren't too bright, as they hired Mangini to replace Crennel, which is the historical landmark for a horizontal upgrade (downgrade in my opinion).

****, if they are in a fire sale, see if they wanna swap Eric Wright for Brent Grimes or Braylon Edwards for Laurent Robinson. If they wanna make a bunch of roster moves that are analagous to their decision to replace Crennel with "Boy-Genie," we could just go ahead and swap their 7 best starters for all of our practice squad players and all be home in time for Letterman.

TRADE HOLY ****!! TD MAKE IT HAPPEN!

Let's get Brodney Pool, Eric Wright, Alex Hall, Leon Williams and most important of all Kamerion Wimbley! Wimbley is a stud. Too bad Mangini is smart and knows D'Quell Jackson's a keeper because that guy can ball!

My top 3 are Hall, Williams and Wimbley all LBs.

Williams can play OLB - he ran a 4.54 at the combine.

Wimbley can back up Abraham at DE. He ran a 4.61 at the combine which is insane for a DE. He also played DE in college.

Hall also played DE in college and can backup Abraham. That would be a SICK rotation if we have all these pass rushers!

Seriously, what the **** are the Browns doing? Eric "Mangenious" is off to a great start alienating Shaun Rogers and trading away K2, their best offensive weapon. I guess the coach Belichick tree has some hits and misses, mostly misses.

Imagine trading for Joe Thomas for the #24 pick. Our o-line would be dominant. Too bad he's not on the trading block.

thats got to be uplifting for the team to know that your owner will be willing to trade you besides two players on the roster now. Browns are going to have a worse year than we did in 07. I find it funny how teams that got as bad or worse records than us this past season compared to our 07 record, that we got more heat and hate from everyone after our 4-12 season. I don't even think the Lions were hated as much as the falcons were in 07. Oh well, times have changed.

man i would love to make a trade for shaun rogers happen... even if he only got 6-8 sacks a year he would be a MONUMENTAL upgrade at NT and would instantly improve our run defense not to mention make our pass rush that much lethal. he commands a double and so does the predator... so babs would have 1 on 1 matchups and so would jamaal or whoever we rush situationally there. that would be so great...

i can only dream.

Giants offered the picks from New Orleans (2nd & 5th) plus choice of Hixon or Manningham for Braylon Edwards and got told the Browns wanted Steve Smith instead of one of the others. Browns don't seem inclined to make a Raiderlike trade. But Quinn and a pick for Cutler has it's intrigue

We would have a epic defensive line ;)

And that would also make our secondary look much better
