Knight of God
I'm starting to warm up to the guy a little, but the only thing is that I hear a lot of negatives around here about the guy but never any other time. Whats the real deal on him.
falcon1fan
The real deal is that he is an undersized wlb playing ss. The guy cant cover anything deep. He is always looking to lay someone out, but if the play gets behind him he looks like a deer in headlights. He is a liability in passing situations, and the cowboys did a good job of disguising that, but now evey team knows and exploits that fact. You will hear alot of people say that he can be switched to a LB position but that just isnt true. He gets laid out by OL cant shed blocks and has horrible awareness. He only haslike six sacks his entire career which isnt very good for someone who plays at the line of scrimmage. The fact is that he is a great in the box safety on running downs, but the money he wants is outrageous. I hope he finds a home somewhere just not at the dome. I would rather have a true safety that plays like a safety.

I haven't heard anything about Roy that is negative except here and the guy I speak with is being abnormally quiet right now.
falcon1fan
I have heard that he wants to be paid like a pro bowl safety. My buddy is a die hard cowboys fan and he couldnt be happier that he was released. Like I said he has his positives, but it is heavily outweighed by negatives. This is just my opinon having watched the guy since college. I just dont think that he would be a good fit here.
RYNE
Dont really want him but i think at this point we need him.. FOR CHEAP as possible
falcon1fan
The problem is that his ego exceeds his talent and hes not going to come cheap for any team. There will be a team that will sign him somewhere in this process but I hope it isnt the falcons
Emerald Archer
Isn't the horse collar rule nicknamed after him? The only reason I could see pulling someone down from behind, is if they're blazing right past you. Other than that, Im not a Cowboys fan so I havent seen him play very much. illest_will
it's already been stated, but the guy just isn't a good coverage player, he's a poor poor poor poor poor lol poor man's Sean Taylor
Knight of God
The only negative that I know of him is his tendacy to horsecollar.
falcon1fan
The only negative that I know of him is his tendacy to horsecollar. The reason he has to horse collar is because he is always behind the play and he has to try and save himself from a touchdown.

Maybe DeCoud will step or somebody we draft will. No other FA Safety is any good IMO.

JohnSp3
okay, so if TD brought him in you guys would have a meltdown....Yes! Living in TX I see alot of cowgirl games on sundays. He is good againts the run, but a HUGE liability in pass coverage. He is definatley not as good as advertised.
