ugadawg
Port St. Lucie, Fla. — In the Braves’ 7-4 victory against the New York Mets on Wednesday, Jordan Schafer went 3-for-5 to raise his average to .419 and picked up his team-high fourth stolen base in as many attempts. He’s making a push for the center-field job, going 10-for-20 in five games after missing 10 days with a sprained shoulder.Manager Bobby Cox gave high marks to relievers Blaine Boyer, who had three strikeouts and one hit allowed in two scoreless innings, and lefty Eric O’Flaherty, who had two strikeouts in 1 2/3 innings.“I thought O’Flaherty looked really good,” Cox said. “Gave up two little infield hits. He’s got nasty stuff. Good slider. Heavy sinker.”Martin Prado doubled off Mets starter Livan Hernandez and homered off Freddy Garcia, who allowed seven hits and five runs in two innings. As well as Schafer and Anderson have played I think we would have been ok if we had not signed GA. Unknøwn
Ill be happy with either Schafer or Anderson starting in CF and leading off
ugadawg
Ill be happy with either Schafer or Anderson starting in CF and leading offI agree. If GA is not ready to start the season let Scaf and Anderson start. I think Anderson, Blanco, JoJo, and Morton will be trade bait either this year or this offseason for what ever missing piece Wren sees we need. Remarkable
Schafer is outperforming Anderson in every single area right now.
The_ATL
Anderson has no future as a consistent starter for this team. Schafer needs to be in there from the start.
Scott da 6'0
As of now, the job is Schafer's. Like somebody already pointed out, he is outperforming Anderson in every facet of the game right now. Anderson can still make the team, though.

He gives us great depth at CF and also affords us pinch running opportunities in late innings which could be evry valuable in some of those 1 run games we struggled with so much last year. I would be very happy with him and Norton on the bench to come in to give starters some rest and pinch hitting. They are both very capable of stepping in and delivering.
