Ravens agreed to terms with TE L.J. Smith on a one-year, $1.5 million contract. - He's taking a $3M pay cut from last year.

Smith struggled in all areas as the Eagles' "franchise player" in 2008, averaging a career-worst 8.1 YPC and declining badly as a blocker.

He'll focus on running routes in Baltimore, but is going to a far more run-heavy offense.

It would be unreasonable to expect more than 40 catches. The move also reflects poorly on Todd Heap's outlook.

I'm a lil disappointed over this...don't get me wrong I'm not panicking but at the same time I thought we would have given him 1.5 m. For a yr that isn't bad. He would have been a temporary fill..Now Im hoping we don't draft Pettigrew or whatever his name is. We need DEFENSE...The only TE worth spending a 1st round pick on is Gresham and he isn't coming out this yr. But I'll trust TD...
