UCSBDirtyBird
So instead of celebrating the fact that I am Irish (read: an American of almost exclusively Irish descent who has never set foot in Ireland) in the stereotypical way (Jameson and passing out in a street), I will have to be clean and sober for most of the day. Instead I will be celebrating by enjoying my own favorite Irish things when time permits. I have had The Pogues playing in the background for most of the morning. Anybody else have any other Irish favorites to toss out there?

Then again, that whole movie did...

Mufasa
I've never understood why the USA celebrates St Patricks day. Get your own patron saint, and stop stealing Ireland's.And while I'm at it, the only part of the UK that should celebrate it is Northern Ireland, we all have our own Saint days which we don't celebrate. Any german days?If you've descended predominantly from Irish (like you), OK, but not the entire USA. You don't all celeebrate Black History Month do you?
