The Snellvillain
Being dubbed as 'the greatest action movie ever', former WWE wrestler "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, known in the real world as Steve Williams, will join the cast of The Expendables. The movie already features some of the greatest action stars of the past 20 years, and includes a cast that consists of Mickey Rourke, Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundren, Eric Roberts, Danny Trejo, Randy Couture and Forest Whitaker. Don't get me wrong, he is twice the actor as his nearest competitor here, but action star??? Maybe he'll be the guy manning the radio, because I don't see it otherwise. His "action" sequences in Vantage Point were horrible, you could just imagine the director calling cut a dozen times at least to let him get a breather when Forest was sprinting to save that kid.I am glad Danny Trejo is in, that guy has been the nameless badazz in far too many good movies to not get a nod in this one. And yeah, he was so out of place in Vantage Point.Dude should be playing the President of the United States or something, not an action star. formul8or
This looks terrible. They just need to throw in Clive Owen to top off 'generic action movie'.
The Snellvillain
Randy Couture has also joined the cast.
Hatchet1984
I wonder what the band The Expendables are thinking.

stumpjumper
I tried to blank that movie out of my head. Why must the director inflict him upon us?
Dem Birds
Wow, I heard about this movie from someone, I thought they were crazy ******** or something.... Wow. This just got real.
Anansi 2.0
The funny thing about it is Sly contacted Jean Clude Van Damme and asked him to be in it and he told him no. Now I have seen Van Damme in anything in years and he turned down a chance to be in a movie that will probably be the blockbuster of the year. Dem Birds
Van Damme was just in a great movie (JCVD) that gave me new respect for his acting abilities, I'm glad he didn't do this. While I like Statham, he'll do anything and it usually isn't very good. I cannot believe Whitaker is in this.

I agree, the best performance of his career by a mile, but some of his past film work did not even reach porn grade acting. Point is, that bar was pretty low going in.
