ru_serious
Just trying to get a better idea of what he brings to the table, and I feel like watching a few games anyway.
Zanka
He is great against the run if you didn't notice, but not much in coverage, that is why Boley came in to cover
ru_serious
Thanks for that. Was it the second Bucs game or the Saints game Wire went into the starting lineup though?
Zanka
Think it was the Bucs
Sun Tzu 7
It was the Bucs game week 15.What's suprising to me is that Coy has been in the league since 2002. I didn't realize that.link
Zanka
He has even had a season with almost 100 tackles
ru_serious
I thought I read somewhere that he came in as a SS also. Not 1 int in his entire career though.
Zanka
He did but switched to LB after a short period of time in the NFL
ru_serious
Think it was the BucsIt was the Bucs game. The one when Smitty got up in Antonio Bryants face on the sideline. On the Coy Wire side of things I'm not too impressed so far. i've seen him get blocked by slot receivers a lot in this game. It was his first start though. He does seem pretty athletic as far as pursuit thiough. It's just surprising that he is so horrible in coverage since he came in as a SS. I mean bad for a LB. sporkdevil
He had a monster preseason hit on Norwood or Snelling in preseason last year, after Jo Jo gave some awful dump of pass thing once pressured, when they were in an awful awful place to get the ball. Literally, to get away from possible being sacked, he tossed the ball to what must have been Norwood, when he had Wire approaching quickly. Wire knocked him on his azz, and put him out for a little while.I think it was in that Buffalo game that took out Shocks knee.

Jedi-Falcon
Boley would be better as a Safety. He needs to be in a position and a defense where he can just run free and make plays. He is not the most cerebral of players.
