Its a children's limerick about plucking bird feathers. It doesn't mean pluck the birds head it means the feathers of the head. It is a sing-song about plucking feathers. A long time ago children were not as sensitive as you are and plucking feathers was part of preparing dinner. Don't be so outraged, Mary. You're the only one that cares.

Pretty much the way I learned it in high school French class.

You took French in HS?  Is their something you want to tell us?   I took Spanish in JH school and German (I was dating a German girl at the time) so it seemed appropriate. No there is nothing I want to tell you...:tiphat:

Sorry for the female Clint Eastwood explanation below.

Lmao at this 12 year resurrection, but also at how casually a Trumper was essentially called a snowflake

Kinda funny, my mother in law said her favorite song was Tennessee Waltz by Patti Page because her hubby was from Tennessee and the song was popular about the time they met. I asked if she had ever checked out the words and she said no. Obviously…. Here they are:

I was dancin' with my darlin' to the Tennessee Waltz
When an old friend I happened to see
I introduced her to my loved one and while they were dancin'
My friend stole my sweetheart from me
I remember the night and the Tennessee Waltz
Now I know just how much I have lost
Yes, I lost my little darlin' the night they were playing
The beautiful Tennessee Waltz
