Ok, this is it, the big event is here at last. This is really the simple part. All you do is make picks for your team. ONLY PICKS GO IN THIS THREAD. There will be a discussion thread that will be used to talk about or laugh at picks made here.

When it is your turn on the clock, you will have 4 hours to make a pick. If you come on the clock during the day while you are at work or at school, you may not be able to make your pick on time. If that happens, either Mr. Offseason or I will make a pick for you if we happen to log in before you make your pick. We will attempt to look at your team needs, but there is no guarantee that we will pick the best or most appropriate player for your team. And it probably won’t be the player you were wanting to draft. So to make sure you get the person you want, if you are within 10 picks, and you’re not going to be on for a while, submit a list to BOTH of us, so that we will know the players you are looking at. This will make the mock go so much faster & smoother.

In addition, if a pick is missed, the team that is picking behind them automatically goes on the clock when time expires for the team ahead of them. So, if your time expires, and the team picking behind you is on, they can make their pick, if the next team is on, they can make their pick too. If you miss a pick, there could be several players that go off the board that you won’t have a chance at.

Can't believe I forgot this part. The clock freezes at midnight every night and picks back up at 6am. For example, today Cleveland made their pick at about 9pm, so Cincinnati is on the clock for 4 hours. From 9 - 12am is 3 hours, then the clock freezes and the next hour starts at 6am. So, Cincinnati is on the clock until 7AM since the pick before them was made at 9PM. You can still make a pick after midnight, just no time expires off the clock. So if the person picking in front of you makes a pick at 1AM, you don't have to worry about missing a pick until 10AM the next day.

Timing for picks is going to work like this. The clock starts at 6AM on the 26th. If Detroit makes their pick at 6:01AM, then St. Louis goes on the clock with a time expiring at 10AM. The time will always be rounded off to the nearest quarter hour. So if Detroit makes their #1 pick at 6:09AM, then St. Louis is on the clock until 10:15AM. If there are any questions on timing of picks, please PM me or Mr. Offseason. Basically, your pick is going to be due by either X:00, X:15, X:30, or X:45, with the x being 4 hours after the last pick was made.

To make your pick, I would appreciate it if it were in this format:

With the 1st selection of the 2009 draft, the Detroit Lions select

John Doe, P, Sam Houston St.

After the 1st round, it should read “With the 1st selection of the 2nd round, …”

At the very least, please put PLAYER, POSITION, SCHOOL so I can easily just cut & paste it into the draft board. It would also be nice if you posted that "(The next team) is on the clock until XX:XX" so that we can follow who is up next and what time their pick is due easier.

As for the free agency period, you should know what players that you tendered and franchised. You should also know the players you won in free agency. This is a list (minus 1 player agent's group) of the bid off winners. Remember to take your free agents into account when drafting.

I believe I am allowed to make my selection now, it is 8:50 central and Jacksonville had until 7:45 ET. Sorry if it seems a bit rushed, but I have to finish a Spanish Composition, I have class in an hour and it's also my birthday. I'm makin' my dang pick!

With the 9th selection of the 2009 NFL Draft the Green Bay Packers select:

Jeremy Maclin, WR, Missouri-

The Jaguars still need to make their pick, but the San Francisco 49ers are now on the clock.

With the 12th pick, Denver selects HB Knowshon Moreno, University of Georgia..

I know I'm not part of this, but thinking of Moreno is Denver's cut block scheme is scary.
