NFL teams have a team song.

Recommended Posts

I heard them say that, too, but I have never heard of that. I'm a newer fan as fans go, though, only about 12 years. Maybe some of the old timers know what it is?

I'm about 20 years into it and I know everything about the NFL but I didn't know that. I'm pretty interested in finding out. I bet most fans don't know here. The Bear's fans was singing theirs though.

here's the lyrics to ours supposedly

Go Falcons, Fight Falcons, Fight hard today.

Go Falcons, Win Falcons, Rise up for the fray.

Rise to glory, stand united, zoom to fame.

Mighty Falcons, noble Falcons win this game.

Go Falcons, fly Falcons, fly hard all the way.

Fight for you colors and score today.

Go! Go you Falcons.

Let's win a victory.

Not Old, lol, but an Old Fan.... Still, this is not something you actually ever hear at a game...

http://www.falconsroost.com/downloads.htm

Fly high Falcons straight down the field,

Fly high Falcons never to yield.

Red and silver is Atlanta's team,

When the game is over you will reign supreme.

(Come on and) fly high Falcons, soar in the sky.

You're the football elite.

Flying higher, higher, high -- fly high,

Atlanta Falcons can't be beat!

(Come on and) fly high Falcons, soar in the sky.

You're the football elite.

Flying higher, higher, high -- fly high,

Atlanta Falcons can't be beat!

I have another link that actually plays the song, but posting from my iphone so I can't get to it. If this doesn't work for you, PM me and I'll get it for you.

The Falcons fight song is sung by Travis Tritt. I forgot the name of it. They haven't played it in the dome in the last couple of years.

I heared that too but I don't think that's our actual song because he wrote that in '04 when we made it to the NFC Championship Game. I think teams songs are old. I could be wrong. There was a lot of them music over the years. 1991- Too Legit To Quit and in 1998 their was 2 or 3 songs that were wrote.I think Travis Tritt's song was just a theme song for that year and it wasn't until late in the year when he wrote it. I bet we start hearing song's very soon for these Falcons but they're not the team's fight song.

orThe Original Atlanta Falcons Fight Song

Of course, while "Falcons Fever" is the song-du-jour for fans at the moment, the very first Atlanta Falcons fight song dates back to the team's days at Atlanta Fulton-County Stadium. The song was entitled "Fly High Falcons" and would be sung by the fans each time the Falcons team would score. There lyrics were recently reprinted on the Atlanta team homepage and were as follows: "Fly high Falcons straight down the field, / Fly high Falcons never to yield. / Red and silver is Atlanta's team, / When the game is over you will reign supreme. / (Come on and) fly high Falcons, soar in the sky. / You're the football elite. / Flying higher, higher, high -- fly high, / Atlanta Falcons can't be beat! / (Come on and) fly high Falcons, soar in the sky. / You're the football elite. / Flying higher, higher, high -- fly high, / Atlanta Falcons can't be beat!"

or something like that

it's pretty gay

unofficial

To Legit

pretty gay in it's own right

To Legit

pretty gay in it's own right

All fight songs are pretty gay but it's cool to know. And To Legit was very cool at the time. And fitting because that team had a ton of come from behind victories that year.

2 legit to quit LOL I remember when everyone was singing that song

go ahead and yuck it up, but the 91 season is when i became a fan... from the new jerseys (maybe that was 90), to tolliver's hail mary vs the 9ers, to the playoffs, and yes, that song..... i was in the 7th grade and didn't know any better..... and keep in mind, this is before DirecTV, AND I LIVE IN JERSEY!!!!

queer song or not, I contribute it partially to my becoming a life-long fan

oh yeah, and I still have my Rison jersey that I got for Christmas that year!!!
