After barely coming away with a victory in a must win game last week, the Falcons again, face a do or die situation at Minnesota. While we may have won against our arch rival Buccaneers, the win was not pretty - 'Project' Ryan threw a season high two interceptions in a day he would like to forget.

In fact 'Project' Ryan may have hit a rookie wall in the past several weeks. Though not apparent, because we have still managed to win games, 'Project' Ryan's stats have considerably dropped when compared to his earlier games. Not including the game at San Diego against a team that has almost packed it in, 'Project' Ryan has thrown 1 touchdown and 4 interceptions in 4 games. In has last two games, he has thrown 1 touchdown, 3 interceptions and fumbled the ball 3 times. This anemic passing attack will not work against a top notch defense like the Minnesota Vikings.

In games against top 10 defenses, which were the Eagles, Panthers, and Buccaneers, 'Project' Ryan has accumulated a 62.1 QB passer rating, in effect putting him at spot number 31 out of 32 quarterbacks - below players like Ryan Fitzpatrick, J.T. O'Sullivan, and Minnesota QB Gus Frerotte. He has also only managed to in 2 out of 5 games against top 10 defenses. Upcoming Minnesota is ranked 8th.

Besides the fact that Matt Ryan may be plateauing and has struggled against top ranked defenses, the individual match ups favor the Minnesota Vikings. The league's leading rusher in Adrian Peterson will go against a weak defense that is ranked 22nd in rushing yards allowed. Our no name defensive tackles will go against the Pro Bowl Steve Hutchinson and veteran Matt Birk. John Abraham will match up against 'Mount' McKinnie, a top rated offensive tackle. Furthermore, our relatively untested offensive line will go up against an all pro defensive line with rookie Sam Baker facing wily veteran Jared Allen. Roddy White will be matched up against a Pro Bowl cornerback in Antoine Winfield.

Our next game at Minnesota will be the toughest game yet. Both teams will look to move one step closer to playing in the offseason. If we wish to make the playoffs, we must win this game and the game against the Rams. Otherwise, we can only hope that the Cowboys, Eagles, and Buccaneers lose their respective games.

December may be the month of hopes and wishes, but hopes and wishes don't send teams to the playoffs. Wins do.

If by 'pointless' you mean 'true' then you got it. I brought up the fact that 'Timid' Boley was soft and now look.

What about the 400,000,000,000,000 things you have been wrong about?

I mean, are you enjoying Coach Singletary's inaugural season as head coach of the Falcons?

Ouch.

you have to have the record of most screen names.ever. You keep changing because you are ashamed of yourself. You have to be the worst poster ever. Entertaining though--like a car wreck.

So basically he is a fair weather fan who will come around when the team is doing good and still put them down?

No, he's not a Falcons fan - he is a Vick fan. He's been angry about Vick and angry with the Falcons. He spends a lot of time coming up with these types of threads. Most of us ignore him unless we just feel like laughing or getting into an argument - beats kicking the wall.

He is king of the trolls. He actually makes the Viking trolls look like Rhodes scholars.

He has one purpose on these boards....to make people angry.

I don't think he possesses enough self awareness to realize that we are all laughing at him....

He's kind of like that crazy old uncle that you have to go down to the supermarket to pick up because he's wandering the aisles in his bathrobe bothering people: He's a major pain in the butt but you laugh at him a lot.....a whole lot.

He's a joke and he doesn't know it.
