Don't be scared to step up to the plate. ....I am not picking on Matt, but I just want to see if this guy is really special.

If Matty Ice is the next coming of Brady and Manning , then he should be able to win on Sunday.

Please spare the argument that this is a team sport. Manning led the Colts (a team comparable to the Falcons on both Defense and Offense) to a come from behind victory last night in Jax. Brady has done it several times.

I remember people saying that Matt doesn't play like a rookie (the best rookie ever) and he's currently head and should above his predecessor ever was....Great!

Vick won in Greenbay (bad climate weather and all) which was a feat no other team had ever done at Lambaeu field.

Contrary to popular belief- I believe he can do it if he doesn't force any throws! He's very smart and make good decisions. I vote YES!!!!!

Vick's first year - he started 2 games. One was in Dallas and one was in St. Louis. He won one and lost one. He completed 16 of 42 passes for 38 percent completion rate and 208 yards, 1 TD's and 1 INT's. He had 8 rushes for 51 yards and no touchdowns. He fumbled the ball 3 times and lost all 3 fumbles.

So, yeah, I think Ryan can do better his first year with us.

Jamaal Anderson = Robert Mathis?

Michael Jenkins = Marvin Harrison?

Justin Peelle = Dallas Clark?

Lawyer Milloy = Bob Sanders?

I struggle to name one position on the roster where we have a clear advantage (and can see a few where they are clearly better). Maybe on the offensive line by a little?

Although I guess you would accept the unarguable truth that Trent Dilfer is better than Dan Marino because he won the super bowl...

matt's first year as a falcon has far surpassed vick's first year. matt has already won 9 games, vick won one game. vick threw more ints then tds and finished with a rating around 60.

matt actually is on the verge of accomplishing more in his rookie year then vick did in his first two years combined. thank for you playing, see you next screen name.

Here is the final comparison between your beloved Vick and Project Ryan:

Vick never amassed 3000 yards nor completed 60% of his passes any year in his career. Ryan has done that with 2 games to go.

And by the way, we were told that it took a qb three years to learn a system. Vick never fully grasped it, and Ryan learned it in 3 months.

Case closed.

face it fellas, Matt will always be compared to Vick. ALWAYS- Get over it! I think your response, along with others posters, speak volume about your confidence in Matt. You want to go on and on about how Great Matt is compared to some of the current players like Manning/Brady, but when asked if he will lead the team, then its the "Vick" lovers that are picking on Matt. In other words, you're not sure if he's a good as Manny/Brady/Vick and therefore you want to scream unfair. .
