Scott24Falcons
Agreed. I definitely don't see us, TB, and Dallas all winning out, and us being left out at 11-5. Now if we beat Minnesota on Sunday, we're going to the playoffs. I'm fairly certain of that.
bozoatl
I think ATL will win out and finish 11-5, but will still miss the playoffs, because I just don't see all those other combinations of other teams losing. And that is my GUT feeling! Remarkable
If we win Sunday we'll make it. Winning Sunday is going to be real tough, though. Especially with Tavaris Jackson coming off of a career day. Fortunately Pat Williams is out.
DeathFromAbove
It's sooooo gonna suck if we're the 2nd 11-5 team ever to miss the playoffs...What do I think will happen? Afraid to get too happy...based on past disappointments could see us whipping Minny and then coming back and getting shocked by STL. Ironic ending... Scott24Falcons
As far as I'm concerned we're 10-5 right now with our final game being against Minnesota on Sunday. These aren't the Mora-led Falcons. We won't be losing to the Rams. I'm certain of that. The only possible way that we could lose to them is if we lose to the Vikings and are eliminated this weekend. Falconsfan567
I feel like we will beat the Vikings. But it will take a miracle to get in the playoffs if we lose to them.If the Cowboys lose to the Ravens, Bucs lose to the Chargers, Panthers lose out, Falcons win out than the Falcons win the NFC South. bronn83
Honestly, I'm really worried about the game this Sunday. In Minnesota, where the Vikings ar eplaying really well. Sure they don't have Pat Williams...but I'm still worried. For one, Michael Turner has had a tough time running against good run defenses. Last week against Tampa Bay was he first time he had a good game against a good run defense, and Tampa is looking less and less like a good run defense. Minnesota is a really good run defense, even without Pat Williams. And Tarvaris Jackson is playing extremely well. It's going to take a great game all around to win against them on Sunday. If we still have anything to play for in the last week, we can knock down St. Louis.
Falconsfan567
I can understand why there is fear but I'm gonna say our run defense will carry over to the game against the Vikings. Coy Wire had a great game stopping the run because he was getting off blocks. Keith Brooking had his best game in 3 years. Also another reason we did good against the run against the Bucs was because Grady Jackson had a great game. Grady had been invisible for the last 2 months or so but he showed up big time. Also I really feel that Tavaris Jackson played WAY over his head and he won't come close to having another game like that. Also I feel that Turner will have good day running the ball if the OL plays as well as it did against the Bucs. I fully expect Baker to start. jidady
I think we're 100% if we beat Minnesota and no more than 15% if we don't.Not to place too fine a point on winning Sunday but...
Cooter
5th or 6th seed.
cuttermd
My gut feeling is we go 11-5 & get the 6th seed. The Bucs will win out & get the 5th seed. Romo is gonna have a tough time on Saturday & the Cowboys will fall out. The Giants are looking very beatable and I think Carolina will do just that & wrap up the #1 spot. Giants #2. This could set us up for a divisional playoff against Carolina, assuming of course we win in the wildcard round. Then the Bucs win their wildcard but lose to the Giants. How about an ATL/NYG NFCCG? Ryan vs Eli. Then Ryan vs Peyton in the SB. I hope I'm right about Dallas losing. If they do make it in, they will have earned it & will be the favorite to win it all. They're really the only team in the NFC that concerns me.
chris30277
In my experience with the Falcons, I am expecting a let down. I really really hope i'm wrong, but I could see both Tampa and Dallas losing this weekend and us losing to Minnesota too

But like I said. Hopefully this year everything has changed. They went 42 plus years never winning a game when committing 3 turnovers but now have done it twice this year. That is just one of the many things that are different. That game against the Bears is another game the Braves would have never won before. iloxygenil
I've said it for weeks, I'll continue to say it, the Falcons are a playoff team period.Guess what folks, the Panthers are going to go 0-2 in their last 2 games, and Tampa Bay is losing to SD on Sunday guess what that means, the Atlanta Falcons not only make the playoffs, they take the division and the bye with a home game to make the NFCCG
