The only thing I ask re: the vikings game

Be daring. Take chances. Do not fear mistakes.

It seems like now that the games have gotten more and more important we have gotten more conservative. It is time to gamble on this team and gamble big. If we fail let it not be because we held back. It is balls to the wall time. I don't think we have seen the full potential of this offense yet.

You want to do that against the # 1 scoring defense over the past 4 season?

You sound as if it's the last series of the games and we are down. I prefer we score fast and first. My them go 3 and out on their first possession. Come back on our second possession and score. Limit them to a field goal. Come back after the half...make em go 3 and out. We score one more time (7 pts)....and make them play catchup and pound them with Turner at that point. Nothing fancy or tricky....just good ol' fashioned football. That's what I say. ;)

I disagree 100% with this. The #1 priority is protecting the football. I think we should come in with a conservative gameplan, meaning a lot of short and intermediate routes in the passing game with a balance with the rushing game. Obviously we will take our shots downfield, but I don't think we should be overly aggressive. Their defense is their strength. They've given up the 8th least 20+ passing plays and have the 6th most INT's.

That being said, I think we should come in with a very very aggressive defensive gameplan. A lot of 8 man fronts and blitzes. If we go after their offense, Tavaris Jackson can get rattled and we can force some turnovers. We can't let him get comfortable and we have to get hands on Peterson in the backfield before he gets going. We can't read/react against their offense, we have to go after them.

My point is we played scared last week and we can't do that. We didn't take a shot at winning against NO and we can't do that. We have to open up our offense and let them go. Since their defense is their strength we have to be more aggressive getting down the field. If we count on too many 3rd down conversions we will have a repeat of TB.
