MATT RYAN - WHY SHOULD YOU VOTE FOR HIM:

I would like to say that I was at the game and I've watched it again. I've also read all the threads and hear all the analysts talking about how poorly Matt Ryan played.

Matt Ryan made some very poor throws during the first half while trying to force plays. At the same time - he still had 15 of 23 passes for 65.2 completion percentage and 206 yards. This Buc defense was tough and he hung in there. He ran the ball 6 times. Although he had 2 interceptions - let's face it - he really could easily have had 2 pass touchdowns as well. One was fumbled and turned over in the endzone by Rader and the other was a clear pass interference which the ref was staring at and chose not to call.

Bottom line - he drove us down for the win in overtime. He never gave up.

Also, here are some little items you may not realize:

1. We have the first 3000 yard season by a Quarterback since 1998. Ten years - 10 years. Matt Ryan now has 3,146 yards on the year.

2. We have our first winning season since 2004 - that's four years - 4 years since we last had a winning season.

3. Even with the bad game yesterday - our rookie has 14 TDs, 9 INTs, 62.2% completion percentage and a QB rating of 90.0

Turner the Burner - you sweet thing. This week you were a BEAST against that Tampa D. ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY TWO (152) hard fought yards and a TD in a low scoring defensive game. It's not just what you did for us on this day with your workhorse mentality, toughness and determination, not to mention a little burst of speed when you need it - it's what you have done for us all year. You are the man, Burner - you are the man! This is a man who has carried the ball 332 times for us this year - 1,421 yards!

Not only that - but did you know that he scored his FIFTEENTH (15th) rushing TD this game? Did you know that breaks the record set by our very own Jamal Anderson back in 1998, our SB year? Have you watched him get stronger as the game goes on? He steps up when our rookie QB needs him the most. Let's show him our support - get over there and vote!

JOHN ABRAHAM - Why should you vote for him:

Abe was a beast this week. If he hadn't sacked Griese in OT to stop the drive - who knows how this game would have ended. He did his job to give the ball back to Ryan to drive us from the Tampa Bay 10 yard line down for the win. If he hadn't played so well - as he does EVERY game he plays - we may not have had that chance. Did you see him go over a lineman - around a lineman and even under a lineman to get to the QB in this game?

If watching this game did not convince you that he deserves the defensive player vote from you - get these yearly stats: 33 tackles, 15.5 sacks. How many times has he tied up 2 linemen or 2 linemen and a TE even during this year. When he's out there - they have to know where he is all the time. He's a huge part of our win yesterday and a huge part of our success this year. Now, get over there and vote!

Ryan did not have his best game, he threw 2 horrible picks. He also marched us back down when we needed it - he scrambled for the first down when we needed it, he completed 65% of his passes and he never lost his cool - not once. He never let them quit. He made many more fantastic plays than bad plays and for the second time in our HISTORY, he gave us a win with 3 turnovers. 86 tries - we have one 2 of those - and he's been at the helm both times. Did he hit the rookie wall? Maybe, but if that's the worst he does - we are okay.

yeah matt struggled.....BUT what I loved to see was how he put it behind him (as usual).... and did what he had to do... some of it might not have been pretty or looked good in the statz......BUT... for me, it is really really refreshing to see this team pull out a win on one of those off days.....I love this team.... and there is not a QB on earth I would have over matt.......he certainly deserves ROY.... and it is so sad that he has only won ROW one time...... I have voted each time....does anyone know if multiple votes count? I have been voting multiple times but someone said that only one of them counts, so I dont want to waste my time if it doesnt count.....i dont think some people see that no one denies he had a few struggles in this game..but he had what it took to get the win.......I can't believe a rookie QB handled a game like that........good times to come for falcons fans....actually good times are already here.

Honestly i was suprised, when you said he only won it once. i cant believe that, since he has been putting up numbers many Qbs are not even putting up. he is honestly a top 10 QB right now, and he is a rookie. If he doesnt win ROY, then its proof that NFL.com and ESPN hate the falcons.

It's not really that surprising. Anytime a Cowboy, Bear or Bronco is up for an award - they almost always get it. It's a matter of votes.

Must have been a slow week for the rookies.

Of course I voted for all 3 even though I only think 2 deserve it. Matt's been deserving of them just about all season but hasnt gotten many so maybe it will even itself out.
