sporkdevil
"Musgrave a strong candidate for Falcons O-coordinator if Mularkey departsBy Dan ParrDec. 11, 2008 The buzz surrounding Mike Mularkey has increased in recent weeks as reports surfaced that if Romeo Crennel is fired in Cleveland, Mularkey could be a candidate to become the next Browns head coach. Mularkey, who resigned as Bills head coach after a two-year stint in 2006, has received high praise for his work in assembling the Falcons’ offense this season and his management of rookie QB Matt Ryan. He was listed among the best assistants in the game recently by PFW. Sources familiar with Mularkey said it’s not clear that Mularkey is interested in being a head coach again or how strong the Browns’ interest in him is, but if he’s hired away from Atlanta, sources say the Falcons have an O-coordinator in waiting. Quarterbacks coach Bill Musgrave works closely with Mularkey and would make a smooth transition into the role if it’s vacated in the next month or so."I still don't think Mularkey goes from TE coach in Miami to HC in 12 something months.
