What's wrong with this guy making comparisons about our o-line from two years ago to now?

Just because the QB we had at the time ****ed us all in one, collective foul swoop doesn't mean that's not a great statistic.

It's amazing what happens when you get a few guys that are big and nasty and a running game that TRULY threatens the other team, as well.

Todd McClure said it's because they know what to expect from Ryan. He releases the ball so quickly and he makes decisions so fast that they know exactly how long it takes to block for him. Makes a line that otherwise might not be so good able to look much better than they even are. They are better because of him. Keep in mind, this is coming from our Center of ten years. He's played every snap under all of our QB's during that time. He said Ryan is amazing and easier to protect than any QB he's seen.

He knows what he wants to do before the ball is snapped and he makes quick reads and gets rid of the ball. This is why he's so good against the blitz - even when they get into the backfield. He also makes the smart decision and gets rid of the ball instead of taking a sack because he has an amazing pocket awareness.

That's why the sack difference. Want further proof? Watch Dallas with Romo and without him. Count the sacks.

If your point was to provide some excuse for Vick, which is not necessary - this was not the correct stat. Everyone knows that sacks are a 2 way street - part line and part QB.

Exactly Tandy. I tried to say the same thing. It's impossible to block for someone where you don't know where they are gonna be. How many times did the OL block a guy right into Vick because Vick wasn't where he was suppose to be?
