Braves not interested in Dunn

Contrary to a FOXSports.com report, the Braves aren't among the teams interested in Adam Dunn. The Web site reported Wednesday that the Braves, Mariners and Nationals are among the teams showing interest in the free-agent outfielder.

The Braves are seeking a right-handed (Dunn bats from the left side) outfielder that they can place between Chipper Jones (a switch hitter) and Brian McCann (a left-handed hitter) in the middle of their lineup.

Braves general manager Frank Wren is still attempting to satisfy this need via the trade market. There is a chance he might once again talk to the Cardinals about Ryan Ludwick. The Cardinals are interested in second baseman Kelly Johnson. But they aren't interested enough to satisfy Atlanta's request to package Ludwick with a mid-level Minor League prospect.
