whatever i was so pumped for houston fans they are so into there team and it made me proud for them

also it was steve slaton's official nfl coming out party

Yup, it was amazing how a team that has gotten screwed with the ownership sending them out to Tennessee and then back with a new team and they were making noise getting false starts from the beginning of the game. Our fans have a lot to learn. Slaton was all over the place.

It's the little things not the Eagles vs Cowboys previously with a shoot out. The only thing was Johnson pulled ahead of Roddy in yards but that was a given.

absolutely ridiculous that they cant switch out these mnf games for more meaningful ones

I can understand why they don't switch them. It would cause some major travel problems and such. I also read somewhere that it's the NFL's way of getting back at ESPN for taking the MNF games off ABC so they don't care if they get sorry games.

The reason they can't switch Monday night games like Sunday night games is due to travel (this is also a big reason Sunday Night Football became the marque game each week).

Teams set their travel schedules months in advance, normally within a couple weeks of the schedule coming out. If a team gets switched to Sunday night, no big deal. They just have to sit around a little longer on Sunday morning because they're already in town.

A switch to Monday night requires a change in hotel plans which is pretty much impossible.

Hmmmm...... makes too much sense, J. Mike. Surely the NFL can figure out a way to confuse things. :P

Not to mention the fact that no matter who you put on Monday will draw @ least the diehard sports fans. MNF was dropping in ratings every year due to the fact that teams that were good 1 year were bad the next. I remember 1 time 2 winless teams playing each other around Week 6. The NFL made the smartest move by placing a Sunday night game & giving NBC the opportunity to pick the best game that week from the games that were not protected by FOX & CBS. A big time matchup would greatly enhance viewership which is what they couldn't guarantee on MNF.
