Bring It
With Matt Ryan as the signal caller and field general, there is no limit to what Mularkey might come up with. In Ryan, Mularkey has a human computer to work with. A young phenom who has no limit to what he can absorb and understand.................with ease. All this plus a d.amn good athlete. Mularkey probably can't wait for Tuesdays and Wednesdays to come, for new and exciting game planning. It doesn't get any better for an offense coordinator. falconfoozball
Do ya'll think he's learning a little about this team's strengths/weaknesses and how best to use those to our advantage as he goes along? Everyone was really b*tching about his playcalling after the Denver game. I personally was sick of the wildcat formation that hasn't really worked for us. But he used a "gadget" play on the TD by HD, and it worked. Went to the well on it again, and it didn't work. Overall, for the most part, though, I thought he did a decent job of play calling yesterday and made some good calls when we were in tight spots. xFalconLord
Offensive Coordinators USUALLY stick around when they have QBs like Brady, Manning and Ryan.. Even though they are offered head coaching jobs, they often times choose to stick around because they know that those QBs win Super Bowls. Do you guys agree? pzummo
Didn't he say that he didn't feel like being a HC was for him? Thought I read that somewhere. No, he said he just loves coaching. It was in reply to how he took the demotion to TE's coach in Miami. He said he doesn't consider it a demotion. He said a coach is a coach and as long as he's coaching he's living his dream or something along those lines. I hope he doesn't take a HC job anywhere. This is the only year of his contract from my understanding though. I really really really hope he signs an extension.

xFalconLord
Yes, indeed. He has only begun to see the potential of Ryan and the entire offense. Imagine this team with a Dimitroff improved O line !!Actually the thing we need to focus on is the defense. The OLine can be worked on, but without a defense, we cannot advance deep into the playoffs. It starts with the front seven. We need big time pressure, pass rushing front seven players. I want linebackers who can blitz, DL who can take over. Draft some sizzling front 7 players and we will truly get this ball rolling. Remember what Cincy did? They got a great franchise QB in Palmer and forgot about the defense. Lets not be Bengels 2.0. Lets be the Patriots. Ill settle for Indy but their defense isnt that great. xXFlashFalconXx
hope he doesnt take a HC job any time soon I doubt it.... Not if he's smart. This team is going to be really successful in the future and he knows that... Wouldn't want to leave a team with this much potential... wreck02
Another great thing for Mularkey is that he has a QB that can bail him out by changing the call at the LOS. He's not going to make the right call all the time and having someone who can read the coverages is a blessing. Some OCs are stuck with guys that go to the line and run whatever play is sent in or make bad play changes at the line. That rarely works out well. Ryan is amazing at reading coverages and getting his boys into the right play. That is an OC's best friend.

formul8or
I wouldn't be surprised if Mularky decided to follow how Monte Kiffin is and just get paid well to do the part of the game you're good at that brings job security.

dardan
I'd like to see Mularkey hang around for a while, too. If for no other reason than to have Ryan in the same offense and not have to learn system-after-system.
