SkySorrOW
The #1 thing I really care about is making sure we break this lame curse of no Back to back winning seasons..So hypothetically, and this is worse case scenario.. If we went 8-8 this year, but won more than 8 games next year, Would you consider that breaking the curse? Two more games to do it! Im pumped. I hate to count my chickens before they hatch, but its looking hard for us to win less than 9 games next year, with Trey lewis back and Smith making sure we improve week after week! A winning record is having more wins than losses in a season.
BruceReville
No that counts as a .500 season
ATLballer
I think so....I guarantee we wont be listed last in the power ranking at the beginning of the season next year
BruceReville
Wait a second -- Trey Lewis back? He played 9 games (starting 5) since being drafted last year and tore the same acl twice - even when he did play he averaged 2 tackles per game - he had 2 games where he had 4 & 5 tackles but was pretty much silent otherwise
BruceReville
I think so....I guarantee we wont be listed last in the power ranking at the beginning of the season next year Knowing the media they will place us at 31 just barely ahead of the rebuilding Lions
duncja
Knowing the media they will place us at 31 just barely ahead of the rebuilding Lions  I think the media is going to make this team led by Matt Ryan their darlings over the next couple of years. Might be overly optimistic; but I feel confident predicting that the Falcons team we're going to see the next 8-10 years will be unlike anything we've had over the past 42. FalconbIaze77
I have always and will always count a non-playoff season a losing season - however I believe you can be a playoff team and still have a losing season

FalconbIaze77
1982 Cleveland & Detroit did itYeah I knew in terms of records it has happened, but I was speaking more in terms of the Cowboys of last year and the Chargers of a few years backA team that wins a ton of games in the regular season to only be bounced one and done by a wild card team had a losing season

The Falcons were 5-4 that year and made the playoffs.

Falconsfan567
Nope: you're going the wrong way in your time machine - go back-back-back to the early years I don't know when the NFL went to a Wild Card. I know MLB went to a Wild Card in 1995 but I don't know about the NFL.
