drk_nte
Maybe the CB should try flopping. It works in basketball. Maybe we could get an offensive PI.
ki46dinah
They are trying. And doing well at times. But he is just so **** good.Trying is not letting him go completely uncovered on 3 different plays throughout the game...or having a rookie have solo coverage with him...or letting him go with solo coverage all game, as opposed to doubling him all game. 14falcons
Point being? What are you going to do about it? The defender is in perfect position on a deep sprint route right with the receiver, ahead of him. Then the receiver just slows, turns around, and a purposely underthrown ball is right there for him to catch. Short of double teaming Smith, how does a defensive back stop that?I guess my answer is, you don't stop that with coverage. You stop it with pressure on the quarterback that disrupts the timing of the play. That's not a defensive back's fault.

That's not a defensive back's fault. My point in that play wasn't the completion. it was the constant thing I'm seeing with our defensive backs not looking for the ball. When the receiver stops and goes up in the air, he is going for the ball, turn the **** around! It has been happening all season.
