Dirty Bird Ronnie
If Foster stays. Baker is as good as on IR. That's my theory. Any thoughts?
SaintsH8
I don't think so
1989Fan
I disagree completely. Foster could be an upgrade backup on either side of the line. regardless he wont be plugged in as a starter on either side right of the PUP list.
DurtyBirds02
yah I disagree also

Abe
We need anouther tackle for insurance.
Brewcrew
Hopefully Foster is better than Gandy. In which case keeping him would have nothing to do with Baker's status.
Tandy
I think they'll plug up the right side with him if he stays - but I don't feel hopeful he'll stay off IR this year.
BlacksburgHokie
I don't think there's any relation there.
mindgame
Its as simple as if Foster is healthy enough to be taken off PUP then he will, 2 peoples health wont combine for 1 decision.
Dirty Bird Ronnie
So everyone agrees with me. Cool.
Ghost Rider
No Mike Smith stated just yeserday that they expect Baker back for the long haul this season. I think if Foster comes back that eitherr Gandy or Oijinaka (is that right?) will be cut. IMO.
Falconsfan567
I completely disagree. Foster is said to be an upgrade over Gandy and Quinn.
birds_till_death
Foster for the record was a horrible left tackle obviously not as bad as quinn, but still not quality. He was extremely stout in the run game, and could pass protect well if the DE tried to bullrush or just overpower him, but he was awful against speed rushers. He didn't get off the line and slide step fast enough to handle the truly quick speed DE. Some of that could have been being new to the league and having to adjust to the speed of the game, but he is ideal for a right tackle. Your second sentence completely disagrees with your first one. Give the man a chance to prove himself before you declare him "a horrible left tackle". southga08
I disagree; but what Foster's health and play can determine is how important of a need the Falcons need to place on a bringing in another lineman in the offseason for depth. The Don™
Foster, IMO, would make a great RT. We should let him compete at RT next year, and let Clabo and Dahl battle it out at RG.
Mr. Offseason
That's true....but I thought he played very well for a UDFA.i agree. i thought he was a good find by petrino. one of the few things he did right...
