Ranger
I trust that Thomas Dimitroff like he did with Turner will find a backup no one has ever heard about, and make him a star. But I think, although he would be awsome, that Haynesworth is out of our reach. He will demand an insane salery, as will Ashomunga.
mastershake
Agreed, and draft the best S or OL we can get. Let the dynasty begin!!!!
DurtyBirds02
I have said this from the begining. Albert is def on the top of my list, but I dont know how possible it will be. He will want a boatload of cash, PLUS I just cant see Tenn letting him go after the year they are having. My second would be Aso, but there is talks that OAK is going to franchise him, which is garbage......
Karst41
AgreedTD will probably find some obscure player that will join us and terrorize the League.

falconsfan1987
AgreedTD will probably find some obscure player that will join us and terrorize the League. He has had an awesome draft and a pickup of two good free agents. Looks like he did good with the Foxworth deal to. TD is going to take this team to a whole other level. I really didn't know whjat he was about when we got him. I knew he came from the Patriots organization. He has gotten an oppurtunity from the Falcons and has definately made the best of it.
BlacksburgHokie
Haynesworth is a great player, but I'm not sure any DT is worth what he's going to be asking for when free agency rolls around...
formul8or
I just don't see Haynesworth leaving Tennessee. They will pay him just about whatever he wants and by the way it looks this year they give him the best chance for a Super Bowl ring. Ranger
Haynesworth's agent will take the truckload of money that the Raiders gave Justin Kelly and the Chiefs gave Dorsey, and compare Hayneswoth to those two guys which will equal the highestpaid DT in league history. I just don't see us use that kind of money on one player.
Karst41
Shaun Rogers or Hanesworth either or would be nice, but too many reservations on both.Comes down to an issue of either Chemistry or Money.Perhaps is time for us to research some players thatare listed as 2nd in the depth chart. No doubt that there are some seriously good players that are simply being overshadowed.TD will find em and sign em. RyanFalconMan
After years of building the hunger back into his game, do we sign Chad Lavalais back? Get big 94 back here and back to his ol LSU days??
1989Fan
no way TD goes for a guy like Shaun Rogers. He is a baller, but not the best guy in the locker room.He has a history of having a bad attitude...but DET can do that to a guy.He wont be available anyways...they been waiting for a LONG time to have a solid NT there, and they finally do. He is one of the few bright spots there this season.

Or was mentioning him just for the sake of argument
shinyflip
Don't expect any big name free agents coming in much anymore. We are going with the philosophy of building through the draft and using free agency for stop gaps.We should look at Terrence Cody this year in the draft instead, if you though Grady was big check this guy out!! 1989Fan
Didnt rogers sign a big contract with Cleveland? We will not be signing big names to crazy contracts. Character, football smarts, and dedication are the ingredients that TD is looking for in players. Look at our TEAM. Look at some of the videos, interviews, and articles that have been done as this season progresses. We had 40 players show up on their day off for an extra workout. The falcons are now a football TEAM, and will continue to build in that direction. Look for FA signings to build depth at positions, just as we did this off season. Magic Man
I think the days of making huge waves in FA are over. It sounds like TD's philosophy is to maximize value along with talent. So as nice as Haynesworth or Aso would be, I think the reality of them coming here is unlikely
deja entendu
I'm wary of haynesworth no doubt hes an elite talent, but i just dont know if will be motivated after getting the big contract personaly i'd rather get a nose tackle in the draft i.e B.J Raji or Terance Cody and then maybe sign a rotational tackle for cheap depending on Trey Lewis' status
ki46dinah
If he becomes a FA, I wouldnt mind looking at Marcus Tubbs.Same for Karlos Dansby, who is a very good player. If he was on the Colts or Giants, he would be a household name.

Matt_The Iceman_Ryan
I think building through the draft will be TD's mindset...I like Raji (BC) or maybe one of the guys from GT in the 2-4 round area....I think some FA names that could be on our list are:TJ Houshmandzadah....could be a nice tandom with Roddy and Matt...probably too expensiveLeonard Pope.....TE out of Arizona who I think could be good, hasn't gotten much playing time, and he is huge at 6'7" 260lbsKarlos Dansby, Jonathan Vilma, Bart Scott....lets be honest, Brooking is nearing the end of a good career, we have young guys there, and also, will we keep Boley (who could be slightly over-rated)....And then I'm sure there is a S in mind, as the Law Dog will be moving on...maybe Darren Sharper from Minn...prob. too much thoughI think we definately need to resign Babs as well as look at Boley and a few others...but if not, we will look to the draft to build from within....I really like DT or TE with our late 1st round pick....Terrence Cody DT 6'5" 370lbs...or Brandon Pettigrew TE 6'6" 260lbs......I think once Matty Ice has a solid running game (Turner) and TE to help the WR, he will be Manning-like..... Voice of Reason
I'm wary of haynesworth no doubt hes an elite talent, but i just dont know if will be motivated after getting the big contract personaly i'd rather get a nose tackle in the draft i.e B.J Raji or Terance Cody and then maybe sign a rotational tackle for cheap depending on Trey Lewis' statusI couldn't agree more with this sentiment. I have caught a couple of BC games this year (merely by accident as I like to watch pro prospects and each game I was actually trying to focus on another player). B.J. kept jumping out at me. This team needs a player that can collapse the pocket from the interior while our ends get upfield. People, B.J. does just this! Everytime I've seen him, he eats two blockers and collapses the pocket.Cody, on the other hand, is just a beast. However, I get kinda nervous when these overly large players in college come into the pros. Sometimes it works out nicely (see Grady) while othertimes, the player gets their money and gets lazy. Besides, the huge guys are often injured (though Cody's quick recovery form the knee thing is encouraging).
