Bodhi
. . and again the entirely irrelevant subject of his paycheck is brought into the picture,.And again, only someone like Gazo...ermmm sorry, Rockford, would be thick in the skull enough to think being the 2nd highest paid LB'er in the NFL has nothing to do with the expectations placed on a player; and the due criticism that player recieves when the production if FAR lower than the expectation.P.S. - Sorry there Gazoo, almost outed your 2nd screen name, my bad. Rockford
Well, you tell us then, what has Keith Brooking been doing the last 4 seasons? When was the last time Brooking had any impact on an NFL game? When was the last time a starting LB in the NFL went 3 straight seasons without forcing a turnover? Brooking's about 8 games away from doing just that!!Here's the easiest question of all:Who has more forced fumbles over the past 4 seasons, Keith Brooking or..........................................................................ED HARTWELL?????Fantasy Football has rotted your brain. Rockford
Sorry, but no.Anyway, Gazoo actually makes posts with at least a little thought in them even when he is wrong. This? You just regurgitate a few Fantasy stat factoids and substitute them for an argument. And then try to pull a magician's trick by claiming I'm Gazoo.YOu really are fixated on him, aren't you? Rockford
When is the last time Brooking had an impact on an NFL game? It's a simple question.....Most games, if you don't define impact as those Fantasy stats.
Julian St.Clor
When is the last time Brooking had an impact on an NFL game? It's a simple question.....OOOH OHHH Pick me coach!!!!Remember when we almost beat the saints last year and Reggie bush was stopped before getting the touchdown but Good ole Keith came and tackled his own teammate which allowed reggie bush to get in the endzoneBig impact keith right there! LADBABY
THe Fantasy Football brigade strikes again!Fantasy Football is based on the cold hard facts. Did he or didn't he.It isn't perfect because of catch up passing yards, etc. It does tell yousomething about how a player is playing to look at his stats. It can't beignored. However, my thoughts on Brooking are based on my subjectiveobservations of how I like linebacker to be played. I give style points onproper tackling technique and how forcefully the linebacker plays. As brutish as the position is it can be looked at as an art form. Butkus was a10 and it goes down hill from there. Brooking.... is not a 10. gazoo
Hopeless like filthy rich without working for it(a la paris hilton) or hopeless like a long in the tooth line backer who struggles in pass coverage(a la keith brooking)? and like a shorter toothed LB that struggles getting blocked out of strong side runs? (ala Michael Boley)? This is the problem with the haters......they never look at the whole picture. They hold Brooking to an entirely different standard than they do any other players. Any mistake by Brooking yields hundreds of posts slamming him, and any mistake by Boley, Lofton, Abraham or Milloy is ignored by them. The fact is, Tom Dimitroff and Mike Smith CLEARLY know good players, and they KEPT BROOKING. You are smoking crack if you think you are smarter than Tom Dimiitroff and Mike Smith about Brooking's value to this defense. This is the great fact, you are igh on drugs if you think Brookng is anywhere near as bad as some of you say and that TD and MS would STILL play him each week. Much of the Brokking hate is sheer ignorance and goes completely against the common sense fact that TD and MS kept him and keep playing him becuase THEY feel he is valuable.. nativefalcon
another stat....he hasnt recorded an Interception in 41 gamesI wouldn't want a 2nd year player calling the defensive plays. Maybe in a year or 2. :P

And I've seen you do the same thing to a few other posters, so don't even try that garbage. You're just simply person that can't stand to be wrong and wont objectively look at a situation and consider arguments for and against the issue. You'd just rather resort to name calling. It's ok, you are what you are. BTW - I'm sure i'm not the only person that has 2 computers in his house that can log on at the same time Nice coicidence that Gazoo loged on at the perfect time to "refute" your claim you aren't him. I could care less, I think it's hysterical.
