ATLfanatic
Although Jay Cutler(2617 yards, 18 TDs) is on pace to throw over 4000 yards and about 30 TDs, and Matt Ryan(1909, 11 TDs) a little over 3000 yards and about 20 TDs, check this out:Matt Ryan's QB rating-89.9Jay Cutler's- 89.5Here's why-While they both average 7.6 yds/attempt(countering the argument Cutler throws more), Cutler has 11 INT's and Ryan has only 5 INT. This will be the key factor this Sunday in a supposed shootout, turnovers.Denver: -11 in TO margin, 19 giveaways (last in NFL, more than 2 TO/game)Atlanta: +1 in TO margin, 9 giveawaysFalcons win by at least 2 scores because of that up there --------/
norbendon
People often forget how important that stat actually is. Even though we didn't score off of our first two interceptios this past Sunday, it took the Aints offense off of the field and helped our offense to control the game. Turnovers are a really big deal. ATLfanatic
def, we win the turnover battle, we win the gameOf course that statement is generally true in the NFL, but it really tells the Bronco's season. 2nd in NFL in offense, yet worst in TO margin. That leads to defense being on the field more than it should, thus getting more exposed (29th in NFL, 27th and 28th against run and pass, respectively) and only a 5-4 record (coulda easily been 3-6 with the "Hochuli" games against the Chargers and Aints)
formul8or
TO margin is a big reason Tennessee is undefeated. They don't turn it over, despite not having a high ranked offense.
