hakim24
I believe that we should make a big splash in free agency, getting young but experienced players. Last year we had a large amount of draft picks, but this year we only have an extra 5th. Because of our success, players will want to come here and we can start drafting Elite players out of college.QB- Set (A+ I am excited about the future and we have a capable backup in Redman)=ELITERB-Set (B+ Only because of the inconsistency)=ELITEFB-Set (B+ Not used much but is very productive)=ELITEWR- I do not think that we will draft a receiver this year, but I would not be disappointed with Crabtree or Maclin. (C+ Roddy has really been the only consistent performer out of the group.)= AVERAGE TE- Mularkey does not use the TE much but one guy that I love is 6'5 240 Shawn Nelson(has Great Hands and a knack for the big play.) (D we do not get much production but we get solid blocking)= BELOW AVERAGEOT- Sam & Clabo have been playing very well when healthybut I still believe that Clabo would be a GREAT backup. This is not an immediate need for a starter but we need Depth and I believe that will do it in Free Agency instead of the Draft. (B we could use some help)= ABOVE AVERAGEOG- Blalock and Dahl are good but just like Clabo, Dahl could be a quality backup. (B+ No immediate need)= ABOVE AVERAGEOC- McClure is playing at a high level but I would not mind drafting his replacement this year (B We need to find his replacement)=AVERAGEDE- I would not mind taking Greg Hardy in the 1st, but with Abraham's play and JA98 Stepping up, this is not an immediate need for a starter. (C+ because the pass rush seems to disappear when we play good teams, Abraham is getting old and we need depth. ) = AVERAGEDT- Grady can't go much longer. I love our depth with Moorehead & Jefferson, but we need a legitimate starter. (C Babineaux is legitimate but we need a nose tackle) BJ Raji Boston College=AVERAGECB- We are young with talent but we have Nobody who can completely shutdown their side of the field. Foxworth should be resigned because he is playing LIGHTS OUT! ( C I dont see us Drafting a CB but if we do improve, it will be through Free agency)=AVERAGELB's- Lofton will be great and Boley will be good but we need a WLB. Nicholas could be it but I love Curry and Mcrath. Either one would be great but I am not giving up on Robert James. (C they are not playing as well as we thought they would especially in coverage)=AVERAGEFS- Coleman has really been an upgrade from what we have had in years past. I dont see us drafting a FS or picking one up in Free Agency unless it's brodney pool from the browns. (B+ he has been all over the field this year)=ABOVE AVERAGESS- Milloy is almost Done. I like Otis Wiley in the later rounds. I seriously think that we will not draft a safety in the First Round (D milloy is a good tackler, but he does nothing in coverage)= BELOW AVERAGEKR-Set (A Norwood always has good returns but never gets touchdowns.lol) PR- We could get an Undrafted Free Agent or somebody in the later rounds because I don't think we have any body good enough to change games yet. (F Douglas just does not have the Speed and Jennings is terrible)
A-TowN.-
Good points. We need to address WLB: with McRath or Curry.DT: with Oghobaase or RajiSS: with Chung, Mays, Moore, or Wiley.CB: with Mickens or some other Cover 2 corner.C: Eric Wood or Alex MackTE: Ryan Purvis or Bear Pascoeadd some O-line depththen we'd have a pretty solid draft if any of those guys were drafted
Keas McFalcon
You made some really good points everything was looked at. I can't say I disagree with anything you said. Overall just a very good post. I also like Wiley in the later rounds put him under Milloy for a year and he will be ready to start beasting. Happy Mondays
Clabo is more than a backup he is a starter, we don't need to get, see that block he made in space against the raiders he is solid our Oline just needs depth now. Again Dahl is a great find and has played well all season.Nicholas hasn't doneanything yet to show he can play well in the NFl, except get beat in coverage a few times against the Eagles. Like I said before, this is Not an immediate need. Right now, the Line is playing pretty solid, but not Dominating. In a few years, after we have filled our holes, we can start going for elite players who will eventually replace the solid players like dahl and Clabo. Positions that we are solid but not elite and we do not have an immediate needO-Line (C, RT, RG)WRCBFSAnd about Nicholas, it is extremely hard to come into a game cold and make a play. Look at what Foxworth has done since he has been starting. He got beat for a touchdown in Green bay because he had just came into the game and wasn't familiar with the flow. I want to see Nicholas Start for us and then I will make judgments.
The Don™
I want to see Nicholas start too. He can't be any worse than Brooking.
The Dirty Bird
I want to see Nicholas start too. He can't be any worse than Brooking.I agree - I want to know what we've got in Nicholas before the season is over. I think Nicholas might be more of a SLB however, so maybe we trade him for a pick or he is just really good depth there.
