Jenkins has deceptional speed.

I have to say that he has smoked at least 3 defenders on long pass receptions. He has this breakaway speed I haven't seen before. And I have to eat a little crow, just a little.

He is becoming a much better WR than he has shown himself to be and I hope he continues this trend continues. He seems to have a confidence he wasn't showing before.

Catching balls with his hands, he never did that even a year ago. I'm proud of his turnaround. If he continues and Roddy is the same, and HR is decent and/or Laurent comes back, this could be a very good year.

Just compete, be a team that shows they belong, give us something to cheer about and look forward to from week to week. Let's have some pride about ourselves. Be a winner!

Jenkins is an average WR. He'll have some big games and get some TD's because he's tall which makes him a nice red zone target, but he's not ever going to be anything close to a top flight WR. 600-700 yards a year at best is what you can expect out of him. Teams need guys like Jenkins as support pieces but he should never have been a first round pick. He had inflated stats at Ohio State.

Maybe not, but he is making a case to be resigned. That and he is a **** of a blocker.

Ohio was/is more of a running program though....I disagree that his numbers were inflated. I dont believe that if someone isnt a highly successful pro, then their numbers in college were inflated, especially with a running program.

2001, Jenkins 1st year as a starter...OSU ran for 2300 yards and passed for only 1900.

2002, OSU ran for 2678 yards and passed for 2425 yards.

2003, OSU ran for 1639 yards and passed for 2679 yards....Jenkins was sharing the field with Santonio Holmes and Drew Carter.

Maybe inflated was a bad word. I meant they were not numbers that would easily transfer to the NFL. That he was 6-4 and not a statue might have let him do some stuff at Ohio State that he'd never get away with in the NFL.

The OP didn't ask, but I think you should put his screen name in your sig anyway. :P

You can add me while you're at it, although I've not been trash talking about him. After I saw what Roddy did, I really believe MJ can turn it around too, if he's willing to work for it. Seems like a good start to me! :)

Well, the point that is missing is that he can thank Matt Ryan for his rebirth. Matty audibled plays to MJ twice yesterday for TDs. He's trying to get everyone involved, and it is working. Matt is making everyone around him better. Not to take away from Jenkins because he has been very nice this year, but Matt's acumen has been contagious.

So you are calling the Patriots as a whole..."role players?" I'm sorry if I don't understand...

A lot of them, yes. Atleast during their superbowl runs. They were smart football players with decent abiity with a strong work ethic and team mentality. Yes. The team had it's stars, but relied on the role players a lot. Being a role player isn't a bad thing, as long as you know your role and execute on a consistant basis.
