perplexing trade. Nuggets have been trying to dump salary for quite a while now. But both billup and mcdyess are tied for the next 3 years or so. Boy, sometimes you just wonder exactly how many teams in this league are actually genuinely looking to win the title.

Not C. Bills fault

Not with AI in the building he's not.

Chauncey was part of the problem in the taking teams easy. One guy can change all that. Look at Boston with KG. KG's personality doesn't allow them to coast through the season and take teams lightly.

If your in the playoffs and still taking teams lightly your team got a huge problem and something needs to be done.

sense of entitlement that detroit squad has been playing with for the past 5 years or so is a joke. I think this trade was made with 2010 in mind. I guess detroit is going to go after one of the big fish (lebron, d-wade, bosh) etc. D-Wade makes the most sense since he went to school in that area.

MLB along with the NBA usually has fans asking this question.

They got that from there coach Flip Saunders, he though they were just suppose to be handed a title, which the players took on that attitude. Larry Brown never allowed that to happen. C. Bills IMO was hardly the problem, IMO.

Yeah Sheik brought that up, that would be a nice move if they could bet Bron or Wade.

A.I. is going to shock people in this trade. He is an underrated passer even though Shiek doesn't agree.

So I guess this means Stuckey is gonna move to the 1 and finally get some PT....

I don't really see him getting any more playing time. They still have to find minutes for Rip and Tayshaun. Stuckey won't get more minutes unless one of them gets their minutes cut off. I understand this trade but I don't like it. If they wanted to free up time for Stuckey they should have traded for a 4 man.

The reason I say stick a fork in Detroit is because I don't think this puts them over the top, but the more I think about it the more I like it for Detroit. They weren't winning anything with Billups, so this isn't much of a gamble. At worst they get a lot of cap room in the near future, but I don't see them drawing any huge names so that may be a wash. AI is a much better offensive player, just depends what happens to their team defense/chemistry.

Wade is staying in Miami and Detroit's not a big enough market for Lebron. Either way they will find someone to build the franchise around in that offseason. Just look at that list. 2010 will be the craziest offseason in the history of sports.

It's a curious trade that right now I would say Denver is going to get the best of but from what I hear Denver plans on buying out McDyess's contract and making him a free agent so maybe McDyess was just to even out the salaries. I think that Maxiell must have made McDyess more expendable.

I will be interested to see what Billups can do with Martin and Anthony out in Denver.

AI is an underrated PG. He played that at Georgetown and he came in as a PG to the NBA. He distributes the ball better than people realize and he is very good at driving and kicking so if Detroit plays him at the 1 I think he has to be the best scoring PG in the league right away.

Den is buying out McDyess, HUGE relief for me, he will be resigned in 30 days.

now we basically gave up Chauncey for a pure scorer, still TBA on this trade but knowing Dice is coming bk makes it alot better.

Saw none of the Pistons were too happy about the trade, so well see.. Dice coming bk will help with everyone. I know Boston is shook though, I heard from some of my Boston friends today & not 1 of them seemed too confident in the matchups especially if this wakes this team up..

Agreed, This is a great deal for the Nuggets. I'm not so sure about it for the Pistons

I should have shutup after this statement.

Actually not a bad deal for Detroit. Detroit needed a player that would keep them focused. A.I. goes hard every game.
Billups hasn't been a closer the last 2 years. Detroit problem the last few years is when the game gets tight they have no clue who will finish. They also took teams for granted. A.I. goes hard every game that will not happen with him there.

:( -_-
