I GUARANTEE A VICTORY AGAINST THE SAINTS

The first thread worked so well, I'll offer another statistical analyst of why we will win this game.

First: I'm only bringing this up since it was so important against Philadelphia, Sean Payton is 0-2 as a head coach following his bye week.

More importantly, the TRUTH, of Drew Brees. There really is no reason to be intimidated with his gaudy passing statistics, as they are seriously misrepresented.

Let's look at how he has done on the road this season, where they are 0-3.

Brees has 868 yards passing, or 289 yards a game.

Brees has 2 TD

Brees has 3 INT

Brees has a QB rating of 84.3

These are extremely mediocre stats, and help explain how this team is 4-4. Brees is quite capable of putting of phenomenal numbers, yet this year seems unable to do it in a hostile environment, which he will undoubtedly face this weekend in Atlanta.

Furthermore, over the course of the season, Brees and the Saints get off to slow starts. In first quarters this season, these are the numbers:

Brees has 508 yards, or 62.5 per game.

Brees has 2 TD

Brees has 3 INT

Brees has a QB rating of 77.0

This is significant because Atlanta, is the fastest scoring team in the NFL. Atlanta has more points in the first quarter than any other team in the NFL. The Saint's have been outscored 42-9 in the first quarter. Atlanta on the other hand, has outscore their opponents 68-14.

So these trends coupled, how does Brees do when trailing?

Brees has 1,330 yards. Anyone else find it odd over half of his yards this season are from when trailing?

Brees has 4 TD. Anyone else find it odd that only 4 of his 15 TD come when trailing?

Brees has 6 INT. Anyone else find it odd that 6 of his 7 INT come when trailing?

Logic says that when the Saints fall behind, they abandon the run, pass more, score less, and turn the ball over more.

So, when ESPN and NFL Network are talking about this game, saying the Falcons cannot stop the New Orleans Saints passing game, realize it's not quite as prolific as the stats would lead you to believe. This is why the Saints are 4-4; and not 7-1.

All of this is extremely convenient consider how our marquee players Michael Turner, Matt Ryan, and Roddy White play when leading, at home, or when leading at home.

If it comes to the saints having to pass the ball 50 times.................the falcons will win.

They WONT stop our offense. if they load up to stop turner. Ryan is going to carve them up.......if they sit back to stop White and our other receivers....Turner/Norwood is going to make them pay.

yea te saints offense puts up nice numbers but they are not near as balanced as ours they cant beat you several ways like we can.

and he fact we are the only team in the nfl with a top 5 rusher AND top 5 receiver

Did you know, over 80% of Roddy's receptions at home are for first downs?

If the Saints do not have Reggie Bush, they're losing their punt returner, their #1 receiver, and their #1 rb.

I'm going to sound like a broken record but if Abe can get the sack machine going and if Babs and JA98 can help him provide the pressure, we can rattle Brees. They are first in passing but only 29th in rushing yards so I'm not too concerned with their run game..

The Saints defense can be exploited. We need to get off to a fast start again and play with the lead.
