Statick
I'd settle for a Wildcard spot.Heck, we can go 8-8 and Smith would probably win COY.
falconfansince66
Let's just see if we can be the Saints FIRST before thinking about sniffing any playoffs. "D" looked really good today but then again, Oakland has no offense even after spending their first draft picks the past couple of years on trying to build one. Next week should be a shootout and let's just hope that we score in both halves...
*NiteFalcon*
i didnt think it'd be so hard to make a prediction for this at this point...when we have a 5-3 record. the record says yes, the difficulty of the NFC south and NFC east says 50-50 chance. We wont really know until after the 2nd time we play carolina

Guest Gritz
This is going to sound weird but in the great scheme of things (for me at least) it doesn't really matter all that much. Don't get me wrong, I would love for my Falcons to make the playoffs this year, but we are so far ahead of where anyone thought we would be. Our future is probably as bright as any franchise in the NFL right now.Coming off of a year that was bad in like biblical proportions, anything we do from here on in this year is just gravy to me. Karst41
Play off's?Until we win at least 1 game from each of ourDivisional Opponents, Dont talk about Play Off's!Play Off's?
Suspect Unknown
I agree w/ almost everyone. Even if we don't make postseason play, the season already feels like a success at the halfway point. The 'Aints game will be very pivotal. This team is building confidence and should bring it next week.

Mr. Mora, that scenario is obviously woven in to the question. Are you suggesting we can't beat a division rival?

nativefalcon
im saying 60% chance right now, if we beat the aints itll go up to 75%The magic number is ususally 9 wins at least its a winning season. But it depends on the aints game. I hate hearing that Grady is sitting but if Deauce and Will Smith and Charles Grant are there too, I'll take it. :P

Karst41
Mr. Mora, that scenario is obviously woven in to the question. Are you suggesting we can't beat a division rival? Now that is the way to ask a Question.Point being is that we have Not Yet won a Divisional Game!To put it another way; IF we dont win Divisional Games we will Not secure a wildcard even with a 9-7 season.IF we cant split or better, how far do you think we would get in the playoffs?Should we Split or better the division then I really like our chances. So my fine feathered Fiend I repeat--------------Dont talk about Playoffs--- Not just yet BTW Good Post

fedexguy77
If we can wiin all of our remaining home games we will have a chance...Gotta beat Saints once and Tampa and NC atleast.....think it will be tough if we dont do that
falconfanjason
I'll feel better about talking playoffs if we can beat New Orleans. They have smacked us around the last couple of years. They have an offense that will give our D all they can handle.
stoneweiser
Considering we have 5 of the last 8 games at home.I think we got a shot as long as we atleast split are div games. Are 3 road games are chargers, saints, vikings. It very well could happen!!!!!!!! RVA Falcon Fan
My aspirations at the beginning of the season were to go 6-10. Like most everyone else I can't believe where we're at right now. I already think the season is a success, and a playoff spot would really just be icing on the cake for me.Are the playoffs possible? Anything is possible, but I doubt we'll take the division and wildcard spots in the NFC won't come cheap. Until then I'll just keep my fingers crossed for a winning season! bad newz birds
If we dont start winning sone games against the NFC South, then no, we'll be fighting for a wildcard birth!
