KRUNKuno
woah. Jairus Byrd is good, but i dont think he's first round material nor do i even believe he's eligible for tha draft this year. very very solid cover 2 corner however. millenium falcon
WTF is Jarius Byrd, worst pick i have seen so far IMO no affense we all have our own opinion that is why i gave you mineat 6-0, 205, 4.46, with 50 tackles, 9 PBU's, a FF, and 4 picks through 8 games, in addition to 17 punt returns for 284 yds, for a 16.71 avg, and 1 TD, i love him at the end of rd 1. if you dont i could care less. if he nailed down the LCB job early, i would not want him returning punts but getting a good PR early would be wise. getting another late to be the primary would be ideal. i have not seen this guy on film, so my opinion is subject to change, but i love what i see in measurables and statistically. of all JR CB's, i like him best. i hate vontae davis and i dont care for VT macho harris. mike mickens may be my favorite SR CB and he is a late 1st early 2nd guy too. i want a LCB that can cover but he also needs to tackle very well and be a factor in run defense. that is why i like grimes over houston and jackson. grimes is a good #2 or 3, but we need a #1 CB on the left side. millenium falcon
mike mickens, 6-0, 190, 4.53, 46 tckls, 2 ints, 8 PBU, 1.5 TFL.malcolm jenkins, 6-1, 201, 4.51, 40 tkles, 3 ints, 5 PBU, 3.5 TFL, 1 SK, 2 FF, 1 BK.(top 5 pick)vontae davis, 6-0, 204, 4.47, 56 tkles, 0 ints, 7 PBU, 5.5 TFL, 1 QH, 3 FF.(top 10 pick, bad apple/no thanks)victor harris, 6-0, 194, 4.45, 28 tkls, 4 ints, 2 PBU, 2.5 TFL.(mid/late 1st, VT product, no thanks)darius butler, 5-10, 188, 4.44, 34 tckls, 4 PBU, 2 TFL.(suppose to be great cover man, dont know about tackling, another good propsect)alphonso smith, 5-9, 195, 4.45, 22 tkls, 13 PBU, 3 ints, 1 TFL.(a lot of plays on the ball, but i dont want another 5-9 CB, no thanks)jarius byrd, 6-0, 205, 4.46, 50 tkls, 9 PBU, 4 ints, 0.5 TFL, 1 FF.(may be my favorite)smith aside, there are a lot of 6-0 CB's in this draft. we might have a shot at one even at the end of rd 1 which would be a steal. i crossed davis, harris, and smith off my list. amoung jenkins who we have no shot at, butler who i hope goes higher so byrd and mickens last, byrd, and mickens, i would be happy as a clam to land either one late in rd 1. byrd could actually go higher IMO, so lets see if the JR declares and where mock drafts have him in 1, 2, and 3 months from now. when everyone else has him in the bottom of rd 1, you will say its a good value. you really need to study these players out for yourself rather than letting other's decide for you.my rating of top 7 CB's including JR's(5 on avg. generally go in rd 1)1-jenkins(no chance)2-byrd(like better anyway, PR skills a bonus)3-mickens(despite 4.53 40, looks like all around CB)4-butler(run D? need more info, rep for cover man though)5-davis(would not draft, attitude)6-harris(would not draft, wary)7-smith(would not draft, height)i believe harris and smith will go in rd 2. The Dirty Bird
woah. Jairus Byrd is good, but i dont think he's first round material nor do i even believe he's eligible for tha draft this year. very very solid cover 2 corner however.I love Jairus Byrd - I don't know if you fist saw his measurables/stats in my mock v 2.0 which are true, and he is a great (my favorite) Cover 2 CB that is eligible for this draft, but if he declares early he won't be a 1st round pick, trust me on that. He will be a late 2nd rounder at best, probably a 3rd rounder which is where I have us taking him. He is a good punt returner but there are better ones out there and I would not want a guy that I would peg as our #1 CB back returning punts getting nailed by some scrub LB.Byrd is a junior so he is eligible for that draft. The Dirty Bird
1-CB-jarius byrd -- early for him, but he would be a monster in the Cover 2 so I wouldn't be upset2-WR-brian robiskie -- I'd hunt TD if this was our 2nd round pick3-DT-vince ohghobaase or bj raji -- I wouldn't object to either of these guys but not my favorite pick4-OC-eric wood -- early for a C who is not considered to be the creme of the crop in the C class, wouldn't be too mad if it happened though5-LT-augustus parrish -- i don't like this5-TE-ryan purvis or bear pascoe -- i don't like this either until I learn more about Bear6-RB-chris ogbonnaya -- don't like this at all eitherWe do not need to draft a RB, an average WR in the 2nd round is a waste of a pick for us, and getting OL depth in the 5th when we can address it later/in UDFA is also no good when we have other needs. with that being said, it isn't the worst mock i've ever seen.
