Did anyone hear Cris Collinsworth last night?

They were talking about the bad call the Falcons suffered yesterday when Bob Costas brings up the obvious point by asking a question to Collinsworth "Don't you think that there needs to be a rule change in situations like this? Isn't the point to get the call right?" Collinsworth responds, with his signature smug dumbshit look on his face, "No, not really."

...

"NOT REALLY"?

ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

WHAT A NO GOOD DECEITFUL PIECE OF TRASH YOU ARE!

GO DIE COLLINSWORTH, I HOPE YOU GET HIT BY A BUS!!!

(no psychopathic murderer)

#1 - Collinsworth is amongst the best analysts in the business.

#2 - Collinsworth is right. Listen, there are bad calls in every sport. They happen. Sometimes they happen during non-critical game juncture points. Other times they do. The call against Trent Cole was horrible when he got tagged for Roughing the Passer. If that had happened in the last two minutes to extend a drive, who is to say that doesn't become the flash point in the game. What Collinsworth essentially was saying is that these things happen and we shouldn't go about making widescale NFL rules changes based off a singular or isolated incident(s).

Someone needs anger management. It was just a game. The Falcons lost to a team they were supposed to lose to(Eagles favored by 9). At the start of the season, had anyone told you the Falcons would be 4 - 3 at this point in the season, you would have been ecstatic.....Evenif they told you one of the games may have hinged on a bad call.......Also, profanity is not allowed here.

Or just learn / adopt from a system that works (college system).

While his point may have been that opening up that can of worms means delaying games, with the technology we have today, why can't there be an official replay person that can do the replay assement while they are talking about the call. In the time it took for Jerome Bogar to get with the officials and address the crowd, we saw 4 different angles showing he didn't touch it. I think they need to put a green dot on the head ref's hat so the offical replay guy can call in his results...lol

But as far as the comment, the point should always be about getting the call right. From the very beginning.

I support your stance.
