Falcon Freddie
Is it just me, or did others get the impression they were listening to the Philadelphia Eagles Broadcasting Network during Sunday's game? Being national network announcers, Sam Rosen and Tim Ryan threw a few asides the Falcons way, but it was obvious they were much - much - more impressed with the Eagles, for reasons that were not that obvious. Yes, Westbrook had a good day, but the Eagles never could give the knock-out blow until that fourth quarter blown call - "muffed kickoff reception" indeed. You are going to have an extreamly difficult time convincing me that the broadcasters don't have their darlings. Obviously the Falcons aren’t one of them. (As an aside, have you noticed the way the media is gushing about the Cowboys' win over the Bucs? Not that I have any love for the Bucs, but the way many sports commentators have carried on is almost obscene - and hardly non-partisan. P-Dub
I can't agree. As a former sports journalist myself I can guarantee that fans always think you're biased against their teams. I would get those types of complaints from fans of both sides on the same article.
=abrahamburger=
No doubt.Remember the drive down field to pull within one score? One play sticks out; Norwood's awesome catch and staying in bounds on 3rd and long to get the first. He got shaken up and was down on one knee. Tim Ryan's first comment was "that's going to cost them a timeout."What a @$#@.

Even if we'd won, I gave the referees an overall gradeof FAIL (they were equal-opportunity foul-ups) and the announcing was mostly one-sided andjust stupid and wrong (reminded me of John Madden). Scott24Falcons
I tried to warn people just how awful Tim Ryan is.
phattywankenobi
That guy Tim in an idiot. He's making commentary on replays regarding penalties and is clearly wrong even his sidekick was arguing with him. He also said when the Eagles made the FG, that was a good call because that puts the game out of reach by 3 scores then it took him like 30sec to say er um 2 scores. If you are a little slow on knowing the difference between 14 and 21 then you really should leave the broadcasting to someone else. I realize I am a little biased but when it is obvious that an announcer does not really know the players and is reading off of cue cards they should be embarassed. That may work if they are announcing the game in London but I believe most fans that have rooted for a teams for a long time know the players pretty well and for some guy who just shows up based on network preferences he seems quite foolish reading those que cards. bossFALCON™
it was definitely biased to the eagles. i dont usually notice it, but i did yesterday. they kept talking about how mcnabb must get on track and were talking about what the eagles must do, not what the falcons AND eagles must do.
