Matt Ryan vs. NFC South will determine if he is a Falcon bust or savior

Recommended Posts

Matt got skills and make nice throws. However, if you pressure him, he makes mistakes. Tampa, Carolina, Philly have proven this to be true. And there will probably be a NFL fine on Trent Cole-- THE THIRD AGAINST A DEFENDER tackling Matt Ryan. I thought it was a clean hit. However, how many more can Matt take?

Falcons got to win vs. the NFC South before any true proclamation about Matt Ryan 'arriving' and the Falcons turning the page...

So was Peyton Manning a bust after his rookie season? You can't say that from this alone.

Ryan is not Peyton... Manning didn't win his first playoff game until 2003..

Peyton put up nice stats, but the media were very patient with him and the league made new rules to benefit the Colts ( 5 yard rule) to help benefit him..

That's besides the point. You're trying to say if he's a bust or savior based on how he plays against the NFC South his rookie season? I'm just saying Peyton played poorly his rookie season (3-13, 71 QB Rating), but showed signs that he was the real deal. However you would consider him a bust with that logic.

You are a troll, and probably vick75, you have 10 posts to your name, the first 3-4 were new threads, after joining today. You sound just like vick75, so even if you are not him, you are still a troll.

Get over it, if you want to start a thread, fine, do so and stay in it talk and debate it. You don't need to start fifty million threads with your crap headlines. One is plenty, and try to stay out of the sunlight, it turns trolls to stone.

He will get better with time. We Shouldnt be so quick to call him a bust if he doesnt win against division opp. After as hard as it is to believe but, he is still a Rookie. I mean how you think peyton manning did in the AFC east his 1st year before the colts moved to the AFC south? Years later.....2006 champs.

I didn't say that he was going to be a flop, but if Ryan and the Falcons can't win against the NFC South, their OWN DIVISION, then this team won't make the playoffs in ANY YEAR, and Matt Ryan will suffer the inevitable fate of David Carr, Kyle Boller, Cade McCown and countless other QBs who were seen a franchise QBs..

Yeah that is pretty odd for a rookie QB.

Not necessarily, but if a year or two years from now, he is making those same mistakes, throwing INTs in the endzone, taking sacks, etc.. ala Alex Smith, Kyle Boller, David Carr, Ryan Leaf , Doug Johnson and others, then the 'rookie or being young' excuse can't be used...
