GOOD

Matt Ryan: Dude continues to impress…… Besides that red zone mistake (OC should have ran it)… Matt Ryan had a real good game….. Matt Ryan looks like the future franchise QB we thought we would have…….We could have seen Matty Ice in action if the Refs didn’t blow that call

Roddy White: Probowl……. Roddy White and Matt Ryan already have that QB to WR chemistry……Roddy White halfa** on that one route that was int….. Other then that…. Dude did his thing

Jamaal Anderson: Even tho he got injured…. Jam continued his sack streak….. I hope JA98 is ok….. He will have a chance to continue his streak against the Raiders

Chris Houston and Domonique Foxworth: They both played good…… If we had a good consistent pass rush…. Hoston and Foxworth could be our future CBs

Jerious Norwood: Norwood did his thing once again

John Abraham: It didn’t show up in sacks but Abe did his thing….. Abe flushed McNabb out of the pocket

O-Line (except the LT): Our O-Line played really good today…. They dealt with over 20 blitzes an handled it really good…… When Quinn Ojinnaka is playing…. Stuff is not going good…. Weiner was equally bad……. We achually have a really good O-Line when all of the starters are playing

Curtis Lofton: Curtis Lofton had a really good day…… I hope the Coaching Staff blitz him more often

Adam Jennings: I had to start it with Jennings…… If Jennings just fair caught the ball none of this would have happened…… Even if the Refs did not blow that call I would have been pissed at Jennings…. At that point of the game we needed all the yards we could get…. That ball bounced back atleast 6 yards….. That’s the man main job

Mike Mularkey (goal line play): Michael Turner just ran the ball to the 1 yard line….. Now its 2nd and 1 ….. Mike Mularkey decided not to run the ball with the 5’10 240lbs RB…. If it was 3rd and 1 I could understand it (I would have still ran the ball tho)…… If Matt Ryan did the the ball on point Lito would have still deflected ythe ball

Lawyer Milloy: Even tho Lawyer Milloy did put a hit stick on that TE(that was a fair hit…. It was a tip ball….L.J could have caught the tip ball)….. Lawyer missed a number of tackles and blew at least 2 coverage’s….. I love Lawyer as a leader…. That’s very valuable but he does not fit this scheme

Keith Brooking: Brooking, Brooking, Brooking…… I hate to say it but he is really hurting the team….. Keith Brooking can not elude the blockers or cover the RBs out of the back field….. That’s what his position call for….. Brooking just look slow out there… right now Brooking is robbing the Falcons….. He is not worth half of his salary right now

Kroy Biermann: Please….. I don’t want to hear no one scream “Kroy Biermann should start” …. Nooooo more….. As a rotational DE …Biermann is good depth but the guy can not be a full time starter

Brian Finneran: The one thing Fin is good at…. He hasn’t been doin it…. Fin is not fast but he is sure handed….. Well…. He has not been sure handed

Coach Smith: This one hurt because that 1 Timeout has Coach Smith on this list…… I was thinking…. Please don’t use that Last Timeout…. I know Coach smith wanted to save some time but yoooo….Always save a Timeout….. I even wanted time to run down… Before the punt I was thinking (dang… I hope we don’t leave allot of time on the clock for philly and man… If we had that Timeout ..The Falcons would have more options)…. That Timeout would have gave us more options….. We could have completed a Deep pass in the middle of the field because we had a Timeout left…..

The Refs: I felt like they Refs should have really talked that over before giving their ruling….. I even thought the Refs would be on the safe side and say Jennings did not touch the ball because philly had Timeouts to challenge it…… The Refs made a HUGE MISTAKE……

Conclusion

The Falcons played really hard out there today....The Refs screwed us big time.... Their was allot of positives today but Jennings continue to be a HUGE negative....Mike Mularkey and Coach Smith both made mistakes today but today showed us that we can play with any team in this league an win.... One thing that stands out to me is that we need a consistent pass rush... With the type of zone that we run ... The Pass rush dictates our WHOLE Defense.... We will have to draft or sign a pass rusher during the offseason.. This offseason main objective should be to build this team a elite type Defense.....

I am still mad over the Refs bad call but i can also see the positives........ We have a very bright future

But one point. If you blame Smith for taking the last time out, you are not right.

I would take it in the same way. So it is right.

No you cannot expect such a drama.......That is really bad luck. If you want to go down the TD, you will need every second. So you must take the timeout. For example the 14-20 TD drive was around 4 minutes.

It should not be today. And I am really sad about the game. Because it was winnable and would be a huge step.

But no blame for Smith. I think, that we have a new punt returner against the Raiders.

Mike Smith does a great job here. If you follow the Jaguars, you see, that they are missing him.(they are really not good this year)

So he is a great guy. It should not be today.......

i dont agree with the timeout as being a bad thing to do. you have to save as much time as possible in a game where you need to drive down the whole field for a td to win. maybe for a field goal the timeout would have been good to keep, but not a touchdown.

Good Analysis.

2 points.

1. The officials were horrible. They missed holding on Runyan all game long. Blew the call on Laywer's hit. The muffed punt call should get the head ump fired.

2. JA98 proved how much of a factor in the pass rush he is. When he played Runyan and Thomas in the backefield. When JA98 left with the concussion, we were flat on the right side. Westbrook killed us running to that side. Can this please stop the JA98 bust talk. HE IS DOING HIS JOB.

While 60 minutes of football was played, that blown punt call overshadowed everything. Consequently, while I hate blaming refs, they did screw us in this one, no doubt. I support Coach Smith's gamble, but in hindsight it didn't work out so he has to take the blame for the gamble not working. And while Jennings is taking way too much heat over this, your right, if he fair catches it, that's all there is to it.
