FeedingFrenzy
At the beginning of the game, this had been my feeling:- Excited, but VERY cautiously optimistic.- Not sure how we would be able to handle the Eagle's blitzes. These a facts facing us:- We're 9 point dog playing away in a very hostile environment.- We're playing a very good offense, with an elite quarterback and one of the better running back in the league.- We're playing a tough defense, with a good defensive coordinator who's well known for blowing up young quarterbacks.- Baker's out, how are we going to handle this?- Are we overrated and will fold easily upon playing an overmatched Eagles team? After the game, although we lost, my feeling is this:- I would no longer be surprised if we win all of our 8 home games plus one or two more away games. It's clear that we play on a different level at home. Given a good day, we could play and beat anyone in this league. Despite being young and lacking talent at some important positions, this team does not know how to lay down and will continue to fight until the end. Today, although we played well and not so well in some stretches, in the end, it took some wacky circumstances to take away our opportunity to steal the game. We fought from behind all second half but kept coming and trying to get back into the game. How often have you seen past Falcons teams have the fire and desire to do this? Thus, this is the most important positive about this team and in the end, will ensure that we will have winning seasons soon, IF NOT THIS SEASON. - DESPITE LOSING, I AM NO LONGER FEARFUL THAT MY FALCONS WON'T BE COMPETITIVE PLAYING ANYTEAM IN THIS LEAGUE. THAT, MY FRIENDS, MAKES ME VERY HAPPYAND HOPEFUL.
