Remarkable
Besides the fact that the Falcons played like crap for the majority of the game, Mike Smith and Jennings are to blame for that garbage at the end. For one, Mike Smith managed the timeouts horribly. I'll take 2:00 and 2 timeouts over 2:31 and no timeouts. Seems like the first timeout was wasted but I can't remember when it happened so I won't comment on it.Then Jennings, even though he didn't muff the punt, shouldn't charge the ball like that and then bounce back. Of course it's going to look like he touched it. Let the ball drop or catch it. If he had a history of being a decent return man I'd cut him some slack, but now he's killing us even when he doesn't touch the ball.I'm convinced 99% of this forum is illiterate. Biggie_Falcon
We had the momentum. We would have been around the 40. We very well could have won!!!!
freefall
I think you can blame the ref on this one. Unless they are so certain on the play, the smart thing to do is to call no fumble as the Eagles still has a time out and can challenge. That way the ref. can save their behind by getting to review the play. Instead, they aren't bright enough to give themselves an out and forced themselves to have to get it right without being able to review it. Rev_Hal
Jennings alone is to blame. That was a awfully stupid play on his part.
VincentVanBro
The bottom line is that when you don't have a good view of the ball (as he apparently didnt), you don't call it a muff when the receiver moves back and doesn't even attempt to pull it in and there were no signs at all from him or his teammates that he touched the ball in any way. He wasnt even CLOSE to the dam ball..i could see if it was close..HE WASNT EVEN CLOSE TO THE ****ING BALL STUPID!!!
Remarkable
Whatever, keep crying and acting like it's going to fix anything. You look just like the Chicago fans from last week. Falcons didn't play well enough to win plain and simple.

=abrahamburger=
1) Jennings can't return punts.2) Bad use of time-outs3) Gigantic missed call by the ref. They were missing them all day though: Cohl's hit on Ryan looked clean.4) The fade pass; beyond dumb. 2nd and goal on the 1 and Turner just gained a yard, and we throw a fade to Roddy White. Why not a tall receiver like Finn or Jenkins?5) Lawyer Milloy's costly late hit on 3rd and long that resulted in the Eagles scoring 3.6) Matt Weiner is Kmart-brand.7) Brooking with a ninny-tackle on McNabb on the goal line.8) 3 & out/Time of Possession; our freaking defense was shredded out there and tired.9) Good defenses don't fall for our ridiculously-obvious reverse plays.10) This was a winnable game, but we shot ourselves in the foot numerous times. McMVP
Unfortunate call for the Falcons to be sure. I know I thought it was a muff when I saw it the first time at game-speed - on the replay it looked liked he didn't touch it. That said, Remarkable is right. * You should've had a timeout left at that point. * Jennings made a mental error* The Eagles, of all teams, ran for almost 2 bills on your DTough call to stomach - I realize that. I didn't like the Personal Foul call on Cole either. Turned out it didn't matter - we'll never know if this one would've mattered or not. That's what makes it hard for you guys. FalconFan13
Jennings alone is to blame. That was a awfully stupid play on his part.100% correct Rev. Don't give the refs a chance to make a bad call in the 1st place and it won't happen simple as that. Humans aren't perfect and when it's inches from a players hands and you got less than a second to see it. Things like that are gonna happen. john_winger
If this play doesn't cause a major change in the play review process, nothing will.I have always questioned the wisdom of allowing 2 challenges per half. If you challenge two calls, and win them both, you are still out of challenges, and a blown call like this will still stand. If you are out of timeouts, a blown call like this still stands. There must be a way to keep any more Hochculis from changing games. Norwood all the way!
the refs indeed deserve the blame. maybe not all of it but a lot of it. they made a horribly bad call and because of it, we lost. if the eagles won without that bogus call, then fine i would accept it (after some cursing) but the fact is, the refs screwed up and gave the game to the eagles. and Jennings need to be thrown out
thempizzle
IF THE REFS MAKE THE CALL RIGHT AND WE MARCH DOWN THE FIELD AND WIN...None of those "mistakes" would be talked about.STFU!
RealBird!
Jennings alone is to blame. That was a awfully stupid play on his part. While he should've fielded it, letting it go is not a crime. The ref was in good position to view the non-muff and his incompetence is inexcusable. They knew they screwed it up when they went back and said Philly couldn't advance it(as if that made up for it). Headshot
Don't blame the refs? Are you ****ing kidding me? The referees have been terrible all season long all throught the NFL and then they just completely SCREWED us when we had a chance to go down for a game winning TD by making a ******** call. What the **** are you talking about don't blame the refs?
