There best win was over Pittsburgh. St. Louis is bad. San Fran is bad. Both of them already has fired their coaches. They lost to Chicago, who Atlanta beat. They lost to Dallas and Washington both of whom are solid and are in their division. Kind of like the Falcons losses to the Panthers and Bucs. Based off of this, there is no reason everybody should be picking Philly to kill Atlanta. If they were that good then they would be better than 3-3. Also 4 out of 6 teams this year have scored at least 20 points against this genius of a defensive coordinator I keep hearing about in Philly.

I am not predicting an Atlanta win. I sure hope they do. But I don't see where all of this Philly love is coming from. If Atlanta was struggling coming into this game I could understand it, but the Falcons have a better record than the Eagles. The Eagles are more experienced and are playing at home, so I understand why Atlanta would be a 3 to 5 point underdog, but 9 points and everybody thinking Atlanta is going to get killed is a little too harsh.

I agree, we may not win but everyone is acting like the Eagles are 6-0 and their defense is giving up 9 points a game and they are some unstoppable force. There 3-3 they have only beaten one good team. At the very least most should consider this a toss up game.

They aren't much better than us if at all on paper and they have a worse record.

This being the season that we were to finish "No Better" than 1-15,,,

The old addage is to Win the Games that you are supposed to and Capture

some Wins from the games that you were supposed to Lose.

We were supposed to Lose to GB and Da Bears and we got the W's

Being that we are "Supposed" to lose to the Eagles is just another one.

I really want to see our Team Prevail Sunday and to do this, will require that we keep the

game close and not get Torched by McNabb.

This Game with the Eagles is not only a Good Test for the Falcons, but will be a great

building block (win or lose) for our Divisional Games.

Dont ya just love Football! Go Falcons, Go NFC South!

Cheers Everybody

like said, the eagles are being very overrated. THe eagles and falcons are very similar in the fact that neither will prolly make the playoffs, but both are dangerous teams for anyone to face. I dont see how people can sit back and act like the eagles are clear cut favorites...

Let everyone think that the Eagles are clear cut favs it make the victory that much more sweet and the loss easier to take. Which ever way it goes the Ealges being the favorite is advantageous to the Falcons.

We either beat a team we shouldnt have, or we lose to a team we should have.

win win

If the Iggles lose they will be devistated and the media will turn on them as the Falcons record goes to 5-2 and their record is 3-4.

Not true. The Bucs game was a one-possesion game with a few minutes left in the game. We had scratched our way back that entire game. It wasn't until Earnest Graham broke a long TD run with a couple minutes left that it was over.

It's a good breakdown showing Philly isn't as dominant as the media pundits suggest, but my question is more "where are the Falcons".

I'm not sure what to expect to be honest with you. I have been so wrong about us so far it's hard for me to say I think this is a very difficult game for us to win. I would have estimated 2 wins after 6 games back in preseason.

If the team got the shot in the arm I think it did from that last second win against the Bears, we could be a much more confident team moving forward. This confidence is critical if we are to have playoff aspirations.

I do think that confidence could get rattled if Philly manages to get a big head start on us but my gut tells me we are for real.

If I had to guess during preseason I would have had us at 2-4 as well.

The one thing I think we have going for us is the Eagles have not started very fast, well to be fair not as fast as us, we are one of the top teams in the league in points scored in the first quarter. One reason is our offense but our defense also plays very well in the first quarter. They force a lot of three and outs.

Moreover the bye week gave Smith an opportunit to fine tune our RedZone offense and I think it will show in this game.

I also think we will have a great no huddle sequence lined up for the Eagles. My biggest concern is the Eagles have also had the bye week to make adjustments on defense. They may implement more disguised blitz packages and other disguised coverages that Ryan has troubole recognizing, which means the ball may not come out as fast as it has been, which means he could get sacked more and possible get picked off. I know Monte Kiffin was able to really confuse Ryan, but Ryan is better today than he was only a few games ago as we witnessed with how well Ryan dissected the Bears defense. (The Bears had noth starting CBs injured though)

The Eagles get back Curtis and Westbrook, but hopefully those guys will be a bit rusty and cost the Eagles some plays from dropped passes and miscues.

Im sure Jim Johnson has that group of guys ready to go, and I think our guys are up to the challenge. Its gonna be a hard fought game between two teams that prepare very well.

I disagree - but neither do I think the opposite is true.

We are fans and we look at games in a different way than the players do. The Eagles are coached by a guy that won't let them become complacent - which is any easy job when your team is 3-3 and in last place in the NFC East. I dislike many things about Reid when it comes to gameplanning and adjustments (in-game) - but he is excellent at getting his team to remained focused; particularly after a bye week - and in the second part of the season. His record from week 7-8 on is much better than it is in weeks 1 thru 6.

The Eagles players don't care that they are 8-9 point favorites. Some Falcon players may take the spread as an insult - but I don't think most really do. They are just focussed on the game ahead of them - as are the Eagles. The spread and what the so called experts are saying doesn't really matter in the end.

Is Reid still condoning drug dealing and complicit in gun running? I know you were one of the strongest voices in the notion that a man has to know what is going on in his house, and the conviction with which you expressed this left no room for doubt.

Certainly you must have concluded Reid knew about the illegal firearms and heroin yet I haven;t heard you call him a thug while you tell us how wel he gets his team focused.

Yes...we got beat by the Bucs and the Panthers. But, what can I say, its harder to win in the NFC South than the NFC East these days. Oh wait, the Eagles haven't beat anyone in either of those diviions. I guess we are standing nose to nose entering this contest.

I'd love to see how that Panter's game would have come out if HD had made either of the 3rd down muffs. Woulda, shoulda, coulda....just make the plays this week Harry. You've turned the corner.

All that matters to analysts this year is that the Eagles are from the East, and since they have anointed the east the Division of the Gods, where mere mortals cannot compete with the pure awesomeness contained therein!"

Than any team from the east gets inflated beyond all reality.
