xapno
I remember last year, a thread was stickied about Georgia license plates with the Falcons logo... It must've gotten deleted in one of the board makeovers. I think the state of GA required a minimum of 1000 pre-orders before they'd go into production (with a deadline of something like Spring 2009).I'm sure the 2007 season didn't help increase the number of orders... but now that we're having a better season, I was wondering if there was an update on whether or not those numbers would be met?Anyone know the current status? I'd love to replace my old GA plate with a Falcons plate.

KwdforFalcons
If you can get a University of Flordia or Auburn GA tag, it seems crazy that there is no Faalcons tag! I'm sure there are 1000, or even 10000 people who would sign that sheet to make it happen.
HighFlyingFalcon
I spoke with someone in my local tag office that looked this up with the state. According to her there weren't even 300 orders placed for this specialty tag. It just blows my mind that every NASCAR driver has his own tag and of course, the University of Florida has a GEORGIA tag but we cannot get one for our Falcons !!!!! NewFalcon
Anybody have a friend/relative/contact who is a Georgia State Senator or Representative? Perhaps they could introduce some administrative rule or pass a resolution that would allow production of a Falcons GA license plate.I'd gladly swap my current GA plate for a Falcons plate, even with an added fee. sporkdevil
That fee was too **** much. A few hundred dollars for a deposit on a plate that might not come out, and there was a yearly fee too. I'll stick with the license plate frame.

I can't remember now it has been over a year since I made my deposit. The tag probably costs less the plate frame. The economy has gotten really bad if people can't fork over a $20. Kathie
I was there last week and asked about it and there was only a little over 200 and I was told it wasn't looking good. It was only a $25.00 deposit.

EddieK
A special tag fee is only $25. There is no deposit that you have to pay on your tags in GA.

michaelgee
i heard that they are getting rid of the UF and auburn tags, and only georgia school stay.ahem, if you can get a Savannah State vanity plate why not for the Falcons?
RealBird!
Last time I checked, we still needed about 750 signups by end of the year. All you got to do is plunk down $25 to get on the list. That money will go against next year's tag if we don't get enough requests.
ltstorm1
BUMP for J mike. J Mike get with the advertising people and have them put something up on the jumbo trons at the game. Please. Just replace a couple of those " fan cam's" time slots with a slot advertising this license plate. Unless its illegal to do that, but I don't think it is. GEORGIAfan
ahem, if you can get a Savannah State vanity plate why not for the Falcons?you could probably get any georgia school plate, since thats not under independent group, but under the state of Georgia, and atlanta is full of transplants.also savannah state has been around since 1890, so it probably has more students that went there than fans in atlanta.atlanta falcons plate would be under a club and not under the state.Look i dont know why, and i dont care, since it seems not enough people care. I am a student, so i dont drive. Instead of being mad that an historically black college has plates and the falcons do is not a reason to cry.
