Frenzy™®
Im sorry, i just dont believe Westbrook will have that much of an impact in this game. This guy broke his ribs not too long ago.I can see Lofton putting him out of the game, seriously. atljbo
They will not run Westbrook hard like normal but they will use him on screen plays
azinine
I hope you're right but Westy is the best back in the league, IMO.Also, they were supposedly only "slight" fractures. He's had 3 weeks of rest and I'm sure the ribs will be wrapped up pretty good. That being said:Go Falcons!
dirtycanadianbird
I think we will get a heavy dose of Buckhalter up the middle with Westbrook slippin out in the flats.Hopefully Lawyer puts a lick on him and makes him thinkin twice about turnin up field. pick-ups
Getting Westbrook back adds a whole nutha element to their O and thats not good considering the Falcons D ranks near the bottom in the league.First off ATL has no one that can cover him out of the backfield and that spells trouble for any team that cant stop that.Eagle-31Falcons-
McMVP
He's had 3 weeks of rest - he will be fine.I agree we may use Buck a bit more than usual (which is only 2-3 times per game when Westbrook is healthy) - but Westbrook will not just be used for screens. And one player people are forgetting is Kevin Curtis. This is our first game that we will have every offensive skill position available. Week 1 (St L): No Curtis, no Reggie BrownWeek 2 (Dal): No Curtis, no Reggie BrownWeek 3 (Pitt): No Curtis, no Reggie Brown, no Westbrook after the second seriesWeek 4 (Chi): No Curtis, no Westbrook, no LJ SmithWeek 5 (Was): No Curtis, and basically no DeSean Jackson after first quarterWeek 6 (SF): No Curtis, no Reggie Brown, no WestbrookWeek 7 (Atl): everyone available

pick-ups
Every team in the league knows that they must stop him but, none can.
Karst41
Ribbies take a while to ease up, butPain or not, I betcha Westbrook is tough as nails andhe will bring his A Game.
ki46dinah
He is a tough dude, but one good helmet and he will be gasping for air. He may play the whole game, but odds are it will be springly if our defense even plays average.Buckhalter is a good back though...people seem to have this impression that if Westy goes down, so do the Eagles.Thats only if McNabb goes down. pick-ups
Without Westbrook the Eagles have a losing record and average 7 pts less a game.Add that into the Bears and Redskins(out after 1st series) game and the Eagles are 5-1.I know IF-IF but he is that important to the offense. Karst41
That is a very interesting Stat.If our line generates anything close to a decent pass rush, our D Backs will havea good day.The Eagles have a lot ridding on this game, and they will do their best toexploit our pass coverage early and often. This game will be a Brawl! SkySorrOW
Westbrook on screens is the only thing that scares me. I honestly think Philly has one of those systems (when McNabb isnt hurt) that can beat ANY defense, even the Ravens, Titans, etc, when they pull it off. So I dont see us stopping them much, hopefully control the ball, hold them to FGs and let our O dominate their D, is what I hope out of this game to come away with a victory. SwaG FactorY EnT
Westbrook will definitely have an impact on this game.
JayOzOne
Since we have Iggle fans on board, what's Shawn Andrews' replacement look like? Will they run off of him or go to the other side? It'll help our cause if the offense is predictable.

gjlaf
If Westbrook is still sore or hurting at all we will find out real quick. if he is slower then normal or slow getting up after a hit then I'd say he is still not a hundred percent.Pick-ups you changed your avatar! Are you tryin to be sneaky?

It'll help our cause if the offense is predictable. The gameplan doesn't change for MJG really. He is not a terrible replacement, but neither is he an all-pro like Andrews. He's made some stupid penalties. He could start for many teams - but I wouldn't call him a standout player.
pick-ups
Well Gjlaf I thought this was better suited for this weeks game.

It'll help our cause if the offense is predictable. His replacement is Max Jean-Gilles someone we should all be pretty familiar with.Westbrook's ribs aren't magically healed, he's hurt, he's not 100% won't take much to put him back on the bench, but he's great at avoiding contact, they just won't try to pound it up the middle with him, cause if Grady lands on him he's done, not for this game, but for many weeks. Dirty-Bird
Hopefully Boley can successfully face guard Westbrook when he has too. He's shown he can be really good in coverage.

pick-ups
Most teams put a safety on him and that is still for the most part is in Westbrooks favor. If you try and cover him with a LB then it`ll be a long day for ATL.6TDs in 3gms.He produces
