FalconFanSince1970
Ryan is the man for the Falcons. For at least the next 5-7 years. He has had a stellar start. If our Oline can hold him up and get a running game off he willl be awesome. If they can't the luster could fade in a heartbeat. So far he has been harrassed by good defenses. Mainly because of his Oline, RBs and WRs. We still have CAR, TB, SD and PHI on the schedule. These teams play in the QBs grill. No matter who you are it's harder to pass against them. NO and MIN can bring some heat as well and we stilll have three against them. All this to say let's not get caught up in the early hype. If he struggles a lil bit we gotta hang in there. I'm sticking with my 8-8 prediction. Anything else is gravy and I will definitely take it. If we are gonna have a Cinderella season like the '98 Super Bowl season this is our New England game. The day the Dirty Bird was born. Ryan might unleash the Bird Sunday. Here is the rest of the schedule. 8 Oct 26 ATL @ PHI 1:00 PM Tickets FOX 712 712 127 154 9 Nov 02 ATL @ OAK 4:15 PM Tickets FOX 715 715 10 Nov 09 NO @ ATL 1:00 PM Tickets FOX 708 708 11 Nov 16 DEN @ ATL 1:00 PM Tickets CBS 704 704 12 Nov 23 CAR @ ATL 1:00 PM Tickets FOX 708 708 13 Nov 30 ATL @ SD 4:05 PM Tickets FOX 712 712 14 Dec 07 ATL @ NO 1:00 PM Tickets FOX 711 711 15 Dec 14 TB @ ATL 1:00 PM Tickets FOX 709 709 16 Dec 21 ATL @ MIN 1:00 PM Tickets FOX 710 710 17 Dec 28 STL @ ATL 1:00 PM Tickets FOX 714
bossFALCON™
he's played with poise and like a vet ever since we got him, but it looked like he took another step after week 4. he's been a different qb the last 2 weeks we've seen him. it could just be a phase, but i doubt it. i think the ryan we've seen against GB and CHI is the same ryan we'll see for the rest of the year. but on another note we're only playing 3 more teams this year w/ winning records, and all of those games are at home. a lot of those teams are tough, but we can beat them. i dont think we'll see a dropoff in ryan like other rookie qbs have had. i just dont see it with him. this kid is special. BW79
Lol...the only thing their is to worry about there are the Panthers. The rest looks like the Titans schedule with exception of the 2 Saints games. I don't think it is HYPE I call it supporting your QB. Just riding the ride bro. Durrty
I'm sticking with my 8-8 prediction as well to keep from getting too excited. You can't help but become overly optimisitc though because I counted both GB and CHI as losses. That means with those two wins, we're on track to end the season at 10-6. I also counted Philly as a loss, but if we win that one, then there's really no reason to not think playoffs. After that win, we should be able to focus strictly on beating our division opponents. I'm sure that gameplan would be the perfect recipe to finish off our non-division games since the win against Philly would don the NFC South as the best division in the league. The Rams could probably kick half the teams in the as right about now. This is NFL 2008 not the seventies era with dynasties. The only thing we've had even close to a dynasty is the PATs. The NFC South has been a worst to first division in every year of it's existence. Guess who's turn is up?

Don't even think the Bears are in the same class. They will see one Sunday. I hope his supporting class will hold him up. If they don't it could be ugly. It's a journey folks. FalconFanSince1970
before week 6 almost anyone would have ranked the bears D right up there w/ TB or CAR's. now that ryan has ripped them they arent in the same class. statistically the bears D isnt looking good right now, but IMO they're still really good.I didn't have them ranked there. They just aren't a typical Bear defense. They gave up 40 last week.
Durrty
This is the kind of QB I wanted Vick to mature and become one day...The way Ryan approaches the game is uncanny. I mean, he has only played six games and he's already managed to get compared to the top two QBs in the game, Peyton Manning and Tom Brady. If Ryan wasn't born with it, he sure as **** was taking notes. He knows what it takes to be the best and to win. I'm glad he's a Falcon and I KNOW he's gonna bring us our first Superbowl title. Tandy
It's not hype - it's a mixture of amazement, excitement, admiration, awe and most of all, hope.Just because we are excited and talk about his current accomplishments does not jinx him nor will it change the way he plays from here on out. We are fans - we should be excited and positive. Most of us are also football aficionados and understand the game is played on Sunday and that there will be ups and downs. Peyton Manning - undoubtedly one of the greatest football quarterbacks ever has looked worse than our rookie this year in games - does that make him less exciting or should his fans admire him less - of course not. He is still a great QB - he's just had some rough patches - it happens, my friend. Do any real football followers believe that Matt Ryan will never have a bad game or look like a rookie against a great defense at times, I doubt it. We know that anything can happen on a given Sunday. So what - we have a winner, and we should be celebrating - we spent enough time doubting and being frustrated last year - Go Falcons - Go Ryan - Go Falcon Fans - Working Together, Growing Together - Winning Together!!!!!! Magic Man
You guys who are predicting that this Falcons team will go 4-6 to end the season are a little funny to me, but at the same time, I can see with our years of mediocrity, why some of you would give in to that mentality. falconidae
Every remaining team has its flaws-Philly is missing its best Olineman, and has been inconsistent the whole year. One high pass over the middle for Westbrook and a lawyer hit and westbrook is out.edited: and while the final score against SF last week was 40-26, with about 7 minutes left in the game it was 26-24 SF.Oakland is stuck with Al DavisNO is riddled w/ injuries and its D hasn't gelled.Denver may not have its QB, and its D is horrible.Carolina and TB we play at homeSan diego is another inconsistent team. And Minn and STL aren't powerhouses.8-8, 9-7 is realistic 10-6 is possible
SoLuvinMyFalcons
This game with be the testament of our O-line. They are a lot better than the previous years. If they hold pretty well in this game, there will be no doubt about this line. The focus will then shift to the D-line.
