westcoastloc
Anyone see this? Darren Woodson chose Eagles to be on upset alert mentioning Matt Ryan and Roddy White.. As a fan I thought it should be ATL PHI but seeing someone on ESPN say it makes me feel more confident in my opinion. By no means do I think this will be an easy game but this makes me feel a little better. Any thoughts?
pick-ups
Woodson is a Cowboy homer and has never picked against the boys. That being said he too is an Eagles hater. If you took him to Vegas to place a bet on the game I pretty sure his money would be on Philly unless he likes throwing it away.Of course 9 points is entising. What I don't get is Warren Sapp on "Inside the NFL" picked the Falcons. Long time Buc and quick to talk trash. They are just a bunch of talking heads but small rumblings around the NFL. As a Falcon fan it seems like that's a bit much with us being a 4-2 team and coming off wins at GB and vs. CHI. I was thinking it should be more around 6 or so. Obviously Andy Reid is 9-0 after a bye and the Eagles are a good team, but I just don't think they're THAT much better than the Falcons. pick-ups
That is alot of points and I`ve questioned how they come up with these lines but all in all thats why they`re still in buisness.I`ll just be happy with the win.
westcoastloc
Its a prediction man. He didn't say wed beat em by 50 he just thought we might edge em out. Its a prediction. i dont think we need to question the integrity of ESPN based on a difference of opinion. But I do appreciate the responses. swanlee
What I want to know is why would it be an upset seeing we have the better record?

birds_till_death
the fact of the matter is we will be the underdogs almost the entire season. People have not been able to forget about the fact that we were expected to be absolutley horrible this year. we're doing better than i ever thought. But, even with us finally getting noticed, we haven't solidified ourselves as a "good team." look at the rays in baseball. they came from nowhere this year, have beaten a bunch of amazing talent, but people keep talking of how they never expected this from them. people talk about how the rays should fold after losing that game in boston. people talked about how the rays would fold after losing game one against the phillies. The talking heads are going to be expecting us to fold up at some point this season. we might not have the individual talent to impress everyone, but as a team we are playing amazing. until we consistently do this (multiple seasons)- we will always be considered underdogs. and i'm perfectly okay with that. You get 3 points for being "at home", os the line is Eagles -6, with 3 pts added for playing at home. (-9) If this were in the GA Dome it would be Philly -3 to -4.Don't let the numbers fool you.The -3 for being at home is just something they do. SiViK_OuTkAsT™
Okay, take from it what you will. But, there is something I need to share with you. On that little network they have called ESPN, NOTHING they ever say should make you feel more confident. No way in the world that I feel better about a football game because someone on ESPN said we should win. That only makes me think we will lose. Just some friendly advice. DurtyBirds02
Its nice to hear and everything but every analyst just jumps on the bandwagon. As soon as we lose a game, its going to be, "not for real" or "I told you so" "not a good football team" its really annoying to listen to be honest. SoLuvinMyFalcons
I don't know how they come up with line so I will take a kind of Palin guess! I believe they came up with the line due to us playing on the road against two premier defense (tampa bay and carolina). We wasn't able to score nothing but field goals (9). Again just a Palin guess!!!
helmsman
I like our chances this Sunday. Andy Reid might have an undefeated record after a Bye week but so does Mike Smith. Are team is healthier and younger. Ryan and White are becoming studs and Turner and Norwood are softning up defenses. Im pretty excited about this upcoming game. I just hope our red zone offense will be better and NO MORE PENALTIES!!!
