X-Man21
Now Im a Defensive guy, dont get me wrong I Respect what The Offense is doing for us so far but as far as im concerned, like Rod Woodson said "Offense sells tickets, But Defense Wins Championships" (GO CELTICS HA). The position that i am more concerned about for the Falcons is FRee Safety. How would the Falcon LOYAL fans Rate his first season with us? Give me all of the positives Give me all of the negatives
Jimusmc
he is doing VERY good at just about everything. he was key on that goal-line stand.
B^rooklyn
Erik is doing well for us. Usually when Safeties name is being called, either his having a beast year, or an awfull year.So he doing alright for us.31 Tackles1 Forced Fumble1 Interception

Shagpill
E coleman is doing a great job holding his spot down. He hasnt gotten burned over top(except maybe that one the donlad driver caught in the endzone agianst GB, then agian that was a perfect pass and perfect catch). he is a solid tackler and he brings expreince and confidence to our young Secondary. We need exprience and swagger at SS and FS, that confidence spills over into our CBs and gives them that swagger they need to be aggresive. I like coleman and i hope he can keep up all the hustling he does around the field.
xXFlashFalconXx
He reminds me so much of Law Dawg.... Everytime I watch the game I'm always like " Was that Lawyer or Eric?".... The even look alike in their pads.... He's doing good though. I have no complaints.

SaintsH8
I think he is a great job, if we can get a decent pass rush, then we could have a good defense.
V-Town Falcon
I think he is a great job, if we can get a decent pass rush, then we could have a good defense.I second that. JoCkStRaP__989
i think he was a very solid pickup...im from new york and i remember when he was a rookie, and the guy was an absolute beast...but i guess he didnt fit into maginis defensive plans just like vilma and dissapeared for a yr
luckyhole
We're giving up a lot through the air but very rarely – if ever – would I attribute that to Coleman.... haven't been able to praise the free-safety position in a while.
bossFALCON™
best FS we've had in a while. and like others said. you cant put all those passing yds solely on erik. corners, line backers and the dline are also responsible for that. innovativefx
He is playing at a very high level... both are safeties do.Most of the other teams pass against us on the edges or underneath the safeties. I can really only remember 2 plays were our safeties were really beat. The one was the GB pass talked about above - but he was there - just a dang amazing catch. The other was the Carolina game where they BOTH missed the tackle on Moose I think.

michael garvin
He's a good player. I live in NY so watched him several times. Mangini went with Kerry Rhodes instead. That's the only reason a starting caliber free agent safety would be available. 10 million for 4 years is a bargain. The guy can play and he may retire a falcon...some might consider him a top 30 safety right now. that's how good of a player this guy can be. I remember he was awarded the highest compensation bonus of any player for outplaying his contract. He was a rookie free agent who started 16 games, recorded 100 tackles, had 4 picks and 2 sacks.
